The Total Transformation of Kia | Meet the New 2019 K900 #K900 #KiaFamily
Kia has been on my mind for quite a while now. I have worked with the brand for several years and I am still constantly enamored with their innovation and design. I have driven the majority of their cars and have even gone to help a few people purchase a Kia here in Georgia because I am known as the Kia woman. Kia has integrated itself into our family lifestyle so much so that our son (a new driver) asked for a Kia for his first car. He did his research and decided that a Kia Optima…or Soul…or Cadenza…or anything Kia will work for him. We hope that you enjoy this The Total Transformation of Kia | Meet the New 2019 K900 post.
Kia Awards and Innovation
Kia has undergone a total transformation in the past several years which has garnered many awards. Kia's vehicles offer award-winning reliability. In 2016, J.D. Power and Associates ranked their overall model reliability #1 in the United States — making them the first non-luxury automaker to do so since 1989. To meet this milestone and make a more satisfying driving experience for its customers, the company has made quality an ongoing obsession.
Innovation is another area where they have excelled. One of its most innovative vehicles, the 2017 Kia Niro, recently made it into the Guinness World Record book, averaging the lowest fuel consumption for a cross-country trip. See other notable moments for Kia.

With the Rio, a compact offering, Kia has blended fun with functional. The Kia Rio combines active safety systems, a stylish design, and standard features such as 15-inch alloy wheels that defy its price tag.
The Kia Forte is another compact offering — one that is geared for lovers of tech. Offering an available infotainment system, the Forte even allows you to use Google Maps. There’s also a rear camera display and heated and ventilated seats. And while it’s sporty and fun, the Forte also offers active safety features like an advanced airbag system and reinforced body.
The Kia Optima is a mid-size sedan offering sleek styling, class, and performance — not to mention trailblazing technology. Available in both Hybrid and Plug-In models, it also offers advanced features like autonomous emergency braking and smart cruise control. And to top it off, the 2016 Kia Optima was awarded Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com Midsize Car Best Buy Award.
The Kia Cadenza, offers unrivaled style, technology, and a luxurious interior. An exceptionally quiet, smooth ride and advanced voice recognition technology provide an exceptional driving experience. As a contender for the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year award, reviewers gushed about the Kia Cadenza responsiveness, refinement, and premium interior.
The Kia Soul compact, first offered in the U.S. in 2010, has a distinctive look and features that outclass its rivals — like HID headlights, ventilated and heated seats, and push-button start. It’s also available in an EV (electric vehicle) version. The 2016 Soul was named one of the 10 coolest cars under $18,000 by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. And for two years in a row (2015-2016), the Soul was the highest ranked compact multi-purpose vehicle in initial quality.
One of the company’s SUV crossover offerings is the Niro. A recent addition to their lineup, the Kia Niro is an innovative vehicle. And it’s a record-breaker — in 2016, it received a Guinness World Records title for the lowest fuel consumption by a hybrid vehicle, traveling from Los Angeles to New York City with an MPG of 76.7 MPG. Its innovative technology makes it the first of its kind.
The Kia Sportage is a compact SUV offering a striking design, expanded and versatile cargo space, and optional all-wheel dive. The 2010 Sportage was the Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. And a few years later, it won international acclaim for its design, earning the 2016 Red Dot Award for Car Design.
Another SUV offering is the Kia Sorento, a mid-size crossover with advanced safety features as standard — not optional. The company has made safety a key focus of the Sorento, and the accolades it has won speak for the efforts. The 2017 Kia Sorento has was not only named one of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s 2016 Top Safety Picks, but was also awarded the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Overall 5-Star Safety Rating.
Introduced in In the minivan category, the Kia Sedona offers a winning design and uncompromising safety features. One unique available feature is second-row “First-Class Lounge Seating” —reclining seats with retracting footrests, allowing for luxurious lounging. And the Sedona doesn’t compromise on style, upsetting convention for minivans with a design that commands attention. All while being an Institute for Highway Safety’s 2016 Top Safety Pick.
The 2018 Kia Stinger is rakishly drawn with compelling styling thanks to the design genius responsible for the original Audi TT. It is low-slung with a fierce face, a long hood, and badass-looking grilles and slots – just enough to draw attention, in a good way. However, the fastback roofline, just like in its competitors, bites on hatchback practicality. The cockpit boasts aircraft-inspired designs complete with upscale detailing. Kia's inherent generosity is seen in the standard and available wood and chrome trims, and in some models, lush Nappa leather seating. All controls are logically-placed and work intuitively.
“…the K900 combines beautifully balanced design with elegant, organic lines and geometric details…introduces a modern air of elegance and gravitas to the full-size premium sedan segment…natural, flowing lines emanate from the grille, rise over the hood, sweep through to the rear flanks and culminate at the rear.”
The Kia K900 is the newly launched, second-generation, flagship luxury full-size sedan offering more powerful options, innovative technology and an exceptional ride. The K900 is built on a new platform, with an extended wheelbase and elongated proportions. The interior is spacious with chrome, metal and top quality leather plus features a panoramic view creating a more open feel. The exterior design inspired by ‘Gravity of Prestige’ design concept and this sedan was designed collaboratively in Kia’s design studios in Korea and California.
Features like the matte wood paneling, Full-time all-wheel drive system, superior sound system and Pantone Color Institute-developed mood lighting themes make this sedan one of the most comfortable and luxurious premium cars that I have ever had the pleasure of driving. The lines are clean and incredibly sophisticated making this sedan look incredibly high end. The large HMI screen, the extremely comfortable (and quiet) cabin and the precision steering made the K900 easy to navigate through the streets of Seoul, Korea. The K900 is really the most technologically advanced Kia offered in a completely immersive driving experience.
