6 Easy Ways to Prevent Exercise-Related Injuries If you haven’t run in six months, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get out and run a marathon on the first day. If you try, you...
We all get stressed, right? It seems that stress is just a natural part of our lives. The difference between people is truly how they manage stress. For years, I had trouble managing my stress levels and I really needed to learn how to not feel so stressed all of the time.
Here are some ways that I use to relieve stress:
1. Breathe deeply.
We have all heard about counting to 10 and taking a deep breathe. That is actually extremely effective. Every time I feel myself getting a little stressed out, the first thing that I do is count to 10. I instantly feel better.
2. Relax.
Sometimes this is the hardest thing for me to do. I will lay in my bed or try to do some stretches. Other times I will just sit in my desk chair and breathe deeply or just rotate my neck and shoulders.
3. Laugh.
Tell a joke or watch some fun videos. Laughing is really something that makes me instantly relax.
4. Take up a hobby.
I am most relaxed when I participate in one of my favorite hobbies. I love to read and whenever I take the time to really lose myself in a great book, I can always feel the stress melting away.
5. Get moving.
Exercise is a great way to reduce stress. I recently took up yoga and I find that I am extremely focused yet relaxed during every session. I love it!
6. Get a good night's sleep.
This is where RESCUE comes in. For years, I have turned to RESCUE Sleep Liquid Melts. I love how they help me get to sleep and stay asleep. Getting a good night's sleep is key to reducing stress. When I am tired, I get cranky and when I am cranky, I tend to feel more stress.
