One of my early holiday memories is of me sitting in my fathers lap, franticly tearing off the wrapping paper a gift that I had recieved for the holidays. To this day I can still feel the excitement of the moment.I remember ripping that paper off to reveal a set of walkie-talkies, and to young me, that was one cool gift. My father helped me get into all of the packaging, and then we opened up the battery compartments to bring power to my new toy. Except we couldn't power my walkie-talkies. They used AA batteries, and we were apparently out. Talk about disappointment. Seven year old me was not the most patient child in the world, and the thought that I would have to wait until my parents went to the store to buy batteries was a bit to much to bare. Now I'm not proud of it, but I had a bit of a meltdown that morning, turning what should of been a relaxing and fun family moment into a chaotic nightmare.
Forgetting the batteries during the holidays can really Scrooge up what should be one of the happiest times of the year. In 2016 and 2017, Energizer actually surveyed parents to better understand how common that “I forgot the batteries” mishap is around the holidays. Did you know…
That childhood memory of mine is the reason that today as a mom I make it a point to always be overstocked with Energizer batteries. Seriously. We have a big basket that sits on top of the fridge that is overflowing with batteries, and everyone in the house knows where to find them. My battery of choice is the Energizer Ultimate Lithium™ line of batteries, and I choose them every time for two reasons. One, Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are the #1 longest lasting AA & AAA battery you can buy (I've learned to really appreciate that battery life on road trips). Two, the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are shelf stable for 20 years. That means I can fill up my battery basket and I don't have to worry about whether or not a battery will still be good when used. And these batteries are just long lasting: they also deliver peak performance and keep gadgets running strong through the end.
Additionally, the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries feature leak resistant construction that's 33 percent lighter than alkaline batteries (AA/AAA sizes). So avoid the holiday meltdown and remember to stock up on batteries, and be sure to check out the Energizer Ultimate Lithium battery line. Your sanity will thank you.
