Ingredients

• 2 semi-frozen sheets of puff pastry
• 2 tbsp. Nutella
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
• 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon sugar (for a Churro Nutella Puff Pastry Christmas Tree)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut both pastry sheets into the shape of a Christmas tree.
3. Spread Nutella evenly over one sheet of puff pastry and place the other cut sheet on top.
4. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and cut slits on both sides about 1in. apart; leave the center intact.
5. Twist each strip twice, in the same directions, pressing the ends to the baking sheet.
6. With leftover puff pastry, cut out a star shape and place are the top of the tree.
7. Mix egg yolk with a teaspoon of water and brush the pastry.
8. Bake until golden, 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool and serve or
