8 Cleaning Hacks For Your Car
8 Cleaning Hacks For Your Car There is nothing I hate worse than a gross, stinky car. But hey, truth be told I am a Mom so having a clean car all...
My favorite family road trip has got to be from this past Summer. During August, my family and I spent two weeks traveling from Atlanta to Florida. We went to Orlando, Jacksonville and several other places in Florida.
We spent a lot of time together as a family and really got to ‘hang out' more than we had in the past year. Our lives are busy. I work. My husband works. In fact, he almost works enough for two jobs. The kids are in school. They have various activities.
While there is family time, it is often one parent and the kids or the other parent and the kids. On Sundays, we spend the entire day together but very often that day is just as hectic as well.
Some of the best times during that trip was actually when we were in the car. We played games every day.
One of our favorites was I Spy in Spanish. We spot something and say the colors in Spanish. My kids then have to guess what we spotted but they have to know their colors in Spanish to even figure it out. We could literally spend hours playing this game.
Another game that we play is spotting things in the clouds. One person goes and has to spot something in the clouds. Then it is up to everyone to find what they saw. This game is always a little crazy because we all have different interpretations of what something actually is. When I see an alligator, someone else may see an elephant. So we always have a great time.
We talked every day. We let the kids plan out a portion of the trip and pick some of the places that they wanted to see. They even go to pick out some of the restaurants as long as they didn't pick any fast food.
This was a fun trip. We really connected as a family. Or at least re-connected as a family.
We saw relatives that we didn't get to see a lot.
We introduced our children to the beach. And then had to drag them away when it was time to leave. They loved it that much! We even took home a ton of sand, shells and shark's teeth.
This was also a trip that my children will remember for the rest of their lives. We just got in the car and drove. We made some loose plans but just kind of let the mood dictate the vacation.
It really was the trip of a lifetime.

Winter Safety Tips
Winter Tires are designed to deliver safety and control in snow, ice, and cold weather conditions. Many people think that all-season tires can deliver this same performance, but this is not true. The superior traction that winter tires deliver, as much as a 25 to 50 percent increase over all-season tires, can very well be the margin you need to stop in time or turn to avoid trouble.
I don’t normally travel too much, but this year has been great to me. I have gotten to take my kids to New York, Disneyland and Universal Studios!!
We always tend to go to the East Coast from the MidWest. Although we dont stop at huge attractions, your state of Georgia and it’s lovely Savannah Beach we have been to! It is so gorgeous there, and we have taken a trip to the Keys.
I have to agree- from Atlanta to Florida is a beauty of a trip, and it sounds like you had a nice time leisurely taking your time & enjoying each other!
