Mueller’s Pot-Sized Pasta & My Kitchen Shortcut
I remember cooking spaghetti with my dad as a kid and always standing back when he broke the noodles. They went all over the place before going into the boiling water. I grew up loving spaghetti.
Mueller's is known for their pasta and now as an adult, spaghetti is one of my family's favorite meals. It is our go-to meal on busy weeknights and we also love to use Mueller's to make cold pasta salads as well. We love our pasta in this household. We also love shortcuts.
I am a lover of shortcuts. Especially when they genuinely save me time rather than causing me to have to do something over.
At Mueller's they are a little obsessed with shortcuts as well. And when it comes to cooking – anything that makes things in the kitchen go faster, easier, better… we are all in, right? That’s how they came up with the idea for their new Pot-Sized Pasta. All those little pieces of broken pasta on the stovetop? Gone.
MUELLER'S POT-SIZED PASTA
Mueller's Pot-Sized Thin Spaghetti is half the length of traditional pasta eliminating the need to break it over the pot. But because it comes in a unique, top-opening box, it's still the same amount of pasta per package a whole pound. Mueller's Pot-Sized pasta is just the right size for a stovetop pot, it doesn't have to be broken in half. No breaking means no mess and less waste.

MY KITCHEN SHORTCUT
So here is what my family does to save a lot of time in the kitchen. We pre-package leftovers in single servings. That way once a week, everyone gets to pick exactly what they want or there is dinner for two or three when not everyone is home. My kids even heat them up and take them to school heated for lunch.
We save so much money and have so much less food waste by packaging the leftovers like this. We even use re-usable containers that easily fit one portion or two.
