ARIA Hotel & Sky Suites in Las Vegas

The Hotel Mousai is an All-Inclusive, Adults Only, 5-star Luxury Hotel located just thirty minutes from the Puerto Vallarta Airport. The ride from the airport allows you to take in the city’s vibrant culture and local businesses along the way.
Upon arrival through the gated entrance of Hotel Mousai, I was impressed to say the least. The hotel’s name, Mousai, is a Greek word meaning muse of art. Contemporary art is reflected throughout the hotel starting at the hotels’ entrance with the hotel’s intricately designed logo emblazed in large golden letters on a black marble wall, to the black and white marble floor designed like a Chess board game leading into the lobby. The life-sized colorful chess pieces staggered throughout the lobby and large golden lamps reveal the hotel’s attention to artistic design.
All guests are treated with a cold towel and an energizing cool drink from the front desk staff at check-in.
Each suite is designed like a piece of art and features spectacular panoramic views of the crystal blue ocean, a deluxe king size bed, a walk-in rain shower (placed strategically so guests have an ocean view), a vanity with an oval mirror that lights up (every girls’ dream), a fully stocked minibar, a work desk, turndown service with different treats delivered each evening, and a floor-length mirror to check yourself out before you head out of the room. I love floor length mirrors in hotels!
A private plunge pool, seating area, and a hammock are all located on the private terrace. Note: For some reason, the bellman pointed out to me that the hammock could hold up to three people. I don’t know if he thought that I looked “sturdy” and needed that information to make me feel comfortable getting into it or if he thought I might be planning on being extra adventurous during my stay… Needless to say it was just me that got into the hammock and it held me just fine.
For the technology geek inside all of us, the hotel provides an iPad in each suite that allows the guest to control the lighting, room temperature, the 55’ LED Ultra Slim high tech television, curtains, blinds, and music in addition to placing room service orders and setting wakeup calls.
The Rooftop lounge and pool area of Hotel Mousai is absolutely stunning with the expansive infinity pool and panoramic views of Banderas Bay along with the city skyline of Puerto Vallarta. There are several private cabanas and large and comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas surrounding the pool. I highly recommend trying the Passion Fruit Martini with coconut cream froth. One word – YUM!
The Rooftop has a wonderful menu selection of tasty bites that is not your typical poolside fare and is served from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. My favorite menu item was ”The Kiss of Life” which is a seafood baton filled with shrimp, calamari and local fish wrapped inside of avocado shavings. A must try!
The hotel features a contemporary Japanese restaurant called Hiroshi. The service and food is absolutely amazing at this restaurant and I believe that even the non-sushi lover will find something to enjoy here as the cuisine is seasoned to perfection.
In addition to the Hiroshi restaurant, Hotel Mousai guests have the option of dining at three other wonderful restaurants: The Terrace, Blanca Blue Lounge & Restaurant and Baca Dos STK.
The hotel has several activities each day that are included in the all-inclusive package. Activities change daily and include a Kayaking and Snorkeling trip to Los Arcos, Mountain Hikes that lead you to spectacular waterfalls, outdoor Yoga classes, Mexican Cooking Classes, and more.
The hotel features the Red Room ballroom with large decorative mirrors spaced throughout and hand painted walls. From intimate dinners to corporate and private events, the space can host up to 200 people. It also has the spectacular Orange Deck for outside events.
A trip to the hotel’s spa, Spa Imagine, is a must do. Guests will not be disappointed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff or from the wide variety of services they offer. Enjoy 360 degree views of Puerto Vallarta while taking advantage of the Hydrotherapy Ritual. The Hydrotherapy Ritual allows guests to bask, sink, and float into divine relaxation and tranquility by indulging in a wonderful circuit of hot and cold stations including: Steam Room, Sauna, Pressure Massage Shower, Six Cycle Vitality Pool, Large Heated Whirlpool, and Ice Cold Plunge Pool.
I loved the fact that hotel guests have unlimited access to the gym. You never know when you might want to burn off those extra calories from the Passion Fruit Martini’s! The gym is large and features several state of the art work out machines and weights along with extra room to create your own workout routine. With the treadmills facing the windows and an ocean view, I never wanted to stop running as the view was breathtaking and extremely motivational.
Guests can also enjoy the outdoor fitness facilities: tennis, basketball, squash, and volleyball.
Weather wise, the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta is November through April months. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my September visit during the rainy season. It only sprinkled a few times during my stay and didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the Island in the least.
The Hotel Mousai staff is amazing and they seem to generally care about your experience at their hotel. I say “their hotel” for a reason. That is to say that the hotel’s management has a method of hiring employees based on their abilities and attention to customer satisfaction vs. only having an extensive hotel background. The theory in this is that individuals can learn the details of the hotel industry while positive attitudes generally cannot be taught.
Hotel Mousai recently joined the ranks of the world’s best hotels by receiving the AAA Five Diamond Award. This award is no small feat. Only 0.5 percent of over 28,000 properties are approved by AAA Five Diamond. Additionally, Hotel Mousai is leading the way in the State of Jalisco as the only property to have received the AAA Five Diamond Award to date and one in sixteen hotels throughout the whole of Mexico. Having only been open for just over 6 months, Hotel Mousai also makes the record for being the fastest any hotel has been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award following its official launch.
I highly recommend Hotel Mousai as a great honeymoon destination or for couples and individuals wanting a luxury escape. So don’t miss out on all of this luxury and customer service – book your reservations today! Enjoy Hotel Mousai Ultimate All-Inclusive Luxury in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.
We were given a complimentary stay but as always my opinions are my own.
