Have you tried out these Home Depot Do-It-Herself Workshops yet?
I have tried several of these workshops so far and I absolutely love them. A few years ago I did one for painting techniques. We got to practice with several different painting techniques and I really learned a lot.
I have done another workshop for tools. I had some apprehension about some of the power tools we owned. The guy that taught the class did such an excellent job and he really gave me the confidence to try out pretty much any power tool.
I cannot recommend these workshops enough. They are usually pretty small and in an intimate setting. You can ask questions. Best of all, they are free. What could be better?
Try one out today!
Lucky! I see those classes at Lowe’s too. I always think I would really like to try those classes but to schedule it. HAH! Maybe when the kids are older.
Never heard of these workshops. What I do attend with my oldest is their events they have for kids workshop. Every month – the first Saturday – they have a Kids Workshop where you can take your child to make something and it’s free .. supplies and all!! My DD loves it!!
I wouldn’t mind taking one on how to use a circular saw. That’s the one tool that scares me for some reason. Well, that and it’s cousin the wet saw, which is basically a wet circular saw. I’m okay with all the other saws. I even own a few, but I’m always scared to cut off an appendage with the circular one.
I’m registered to attend this workshop tonight but can’t find anyone to watch my 7 month old son. Think its ok to take him?
