DIY Cranberry Heart Christmas Wreath Frame

Supplies

• heart shaped grapevine wreath
• wooden frame – we found ours at a garage sale for $2
• white acrylic craft paint
• foam brush
• red ribbon
• faux cranberry stems
• hot glue
• glue gun
• scissors

Directions

1. Begin by adding a coat of white paint to your frame. We put on a single coat and applied it lightly for a natural, aged look. You can remove and recycle the inserts as you won’t be needing them further.
2. Cut off the 4-5 inches of the cranberry stems so all that is left is the bunch of berries and about 3 inches of stem. Wire cutters or scissors will work for this. Just make a cut and bend until the stem separates.
3. Bend the stems to fit the shape of the wreath. You will use 1-2 stems on each side of the heart. If you want, bending the stem into a candy cane shape works well.
4. Secure the stem to the grapevine wreath with hot glue. Hold it in place until secure. Continue to add cranberry stems until the wreath is covered.
5. Tie the top of the wreath with a length of red ribbon. Tie it to the top of the frame.
6. Finish off the piece by tying on an additional length of ribbon and tying it into a bow. Your holiday heart wreath is now ready to be displayed.
