For my family, Summer is a time to re-connect after a busy school year, hang out at the lake and really just relax with each other. This Summer I am an Ambassador for Discover Boating which is perfect because my family loves nothing more than to be out on the water in a boat, an inter-tube, swimming or even a Jet Ski.
This year, we are really excited because friends of ours just bought a boat and while we still probably rent a boat several times over the Summer like we always do, it will also be fun to go out on the lake with our friends in their new boat as well.
Boating is about making memories. It is about teaching our kids proper water safety and boating safety.
This summer we will fish, watch the sunset, swim, do a lot of cannonballs, a little diving and so much more. But most of all, we will be making memories that will last a lifetime. I want my kids to look back and remember how fun their Summers were every year.
Discover Boating is a public awareness effort managed by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) on behalf of the North American recreational boating industry. Discover Boating programs focus on increasing participation and creating interest in recreational boating by demonstrating the benefits, affordability and accessibility of the boating lifestyle while helping to educate potential boaters and offering opportunities to experience the fun and togetherness of being on the water on a boat.
