Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Natural Glow Foundation Review
Covergirl has just recently released a new liquid foundation into their collection, it is called the
Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Natural Glow Foundation. It runs for about $9-$10 unless you can catch it on sale or have any coupons and I picked up mine at Rite-Aid! Overall, this is a pretty good value. It is on the cheaper spectrum of foundations as far as drugstore foundations. Some can run up to around $13-$15. So let's jump into to talking about the actual foundation!
I'm going to start with the packaging and looks of the foundation. This foundation is in a glass bottle, which is not my favorite due to the possibility of it being dropped and being broken! But another thing that the bottle has that I DO love is the fact that it has a pump. The pump is very convenient, it allows you to keep the foundation in controlled environment and allows you to control the amount that you are using so you don't waste product. The pump also locks in place when you turn it, so it can not be pumped out by accident, however it also has a plastic cap over the top because we all know, accidents do happen. So that is very clean and convenient.
The
Stay Luminous foundation was created to give that flawless, dewy, glowing complexion. Boy does it do that, I would say this foundation is EXTREMELY glowy. It comes in 7 various shades for a wide variety of people to be able to use it, which is great! The colors are available in: Soft Sable, Buff Beige, Classic Tan, Classic Ivory, Soft Honey, Creamy Natural, and Medium Beige. Stay Luminous foundation is a liquid foundation and I would say it is about a medium coverage with just one layer, however it is buildable, making it available to those who do need full coverage. One piece of advice that I have is, a little bit of this foundation goes a long way! I would recommend just 1-1 1/2 pumps for your whole face.
I would recommend this foundation for those who have normal-dry skin. If you have oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this at all due to the extreme amount of glow it has, it can make your skin appear greasy/oily. I have found that this foundation is fairly long lasting on it's own, however Covergirl did release a face primer to go along with the foundation. I think that
Covergirl released this foundation in the perfect time because I believe this foundation is perfect for the Summer! Everyone is always searching for that gorgeous, sunkissed glow in the Summer. Using this foundation, I think you can truly achieve that look! If you do feel that this foundation is too dewy/greasy looking for you, I have tried setting it with a matte powder and it still has a beautiful glow, but it's not overdoing it, so it is versatile.
All in all, I think this is a great foundation and there are a wide range of people who could benefit from using it. It is fairly affordable, provides a great look, and it is long lasting. Being that you don't need a lot of the foundation for an application, the bottle itself will also last you a long time, making it very much worth your money. Although it may not be great for EVERYONE, I think most people can u se it and achieve great results. I would recommend going out and picking it up for this Summer!
