As someone who has suffered from allergies for the better part of 25 years, I know a little about allergy face. I am talking about those times when I have watery eyes, puffy skin and a red nose. I hate allergy face but unfortunately I seem to have it at least once a week year round here in Georgia. UGH.
Thankfully there are things that can help. I use ZYRTEC® and what I especially like about Zyrtec® is that you only need to take it once a day. My personal experience with allergies is that you have to know how to manage your allergies AND how to handle what happens to your face during allergy season (or year round for me). I can suffer from allergies and still manage to look like I am not suffering from them.
I love these tips from ZYRTEC® celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg because they can help you combat Allergy Face beauty challenges like watery eyes, a red nose and a puffy face. Who doesn't want that?
ZYRTEC® is an allergy medication that is used to treat allergy symptoms. ZYRTEC® provides 24-hour relief of allergy symptoms and starts working during hour 1 on the first day you take it.
When it comes to beauty, the makers of ZYRTEC® have enlisted celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg to help women look and feel their best despite their allergies through a series of beauty tips. ALLERGY FACE® beauty challenges include watery eyes, red nose and a puffy face. In an effort to help allergy sufferers combat ALLERGY FACE®, ZYRTEC® and celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg have created six makeup “looks” perfect for allergy sufferers trying to look their best.
1. Watery Eyes?
Stick with waterproof eyeliner and waterproof mascara. As an allergy sufferer and someone who constantly gets watery eyes, I have stuck to this rule religiously for years. I don't even put on mascara unless it is waterproof.
For those afraid of waterproof mascara drying their eyes, Jamie shares to put a coat of regular mascara on, let it dry and then follow that with an application of waterproof mascara.
2. Puffy Face?
You need to contour which means shading and highlighting any areas that feel puffy.
3. Red Nose?
Use coconut oil when going to bed the night before followed by a creamy concealer covering the red spots the next morning.
Finally and obviously, take your ZYRTEC®. This is what is really going to help you combat ALLERGY FACE® as well.
