I love to patronize local toy stores. I always find a different selection than I would in those national stores. Smaller toy stores seem to carry different items and many toys that I enjoyed during my childhood.
For me toys are a bit nostalgic but I also love a good toy that is both educational AND fun to play with. I spend a lot of time shopping for toys and picking out the perfect toy for my children.

Blickenstaff's (a family name and family brand) is a toy & candy store that calls themselves a nice cross between Willy Wonka and FAO Schwarz. They want you to check them out. They are a smaller, boutique family store that encourages shoppers to shop around and really find the perfect items.

Blickenstaff's is a toy store that carries hundreds of toys, candy, and games. Many of these items cannot be found in the “big- box” stores which means this is exactly the kind of place for me.

What a wonderful, magical place! It reminds of a movie…but I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. Dustin Hoffman was in it. But I digress. I would love to visit a store like that, but there are none around here at all.

there is something so special about these small mom and pop shops. I rarely go into big box toy stores anymore.

I dont think we have plaes like that in my town anymore it’s so sad, not long ago we were watching home alone 2 and my son wanted to go that huge toy store in the movie, sad

What an amazing looking place! I love independent stores, and try to patronize them whenever I can. They have so much more character than the chains.
