We are a pretty crafty family around here. We love making things but I always appreciate a little help inf the form of directions and supplies all laid out for me. That is what we get from KLUTZ books. I absolutely adore Klutz books. I learned how to facepaint from them and my kids have done countless crafts from the books.

KLUTZ recently sent all five books shared in this post and I have to tell you that it kind of felt like Christmas. My girls and I ripped open that package but we had the hardest time choosing which one to do first.  All of the books looked great and I can honestly say that we have used all five of them now but our first pick was the String Art book.

Handmade for the Holidays: String Art from Klutz {GIVEAWAY} #KLUTZhandmadeHandmade for the Holidays: String Art from Klutz {GIVEAWAY} #KLUTZhandmadeAs you can see the book is visually appealing and beautiful. We had a hard time deciding which ones to do first. My daughter finally decided on the glasses and we got to work. Start to finish, it probably took us 90 minutes to complete the glasses.

Handmade for the Holidays: String Art from Klutz {GIVEAWAY} #KLUTZhandmadeKLUTZ: String Art {OUR CRAFT PICK}

String art used to be just for squares (and triangles and other geometric shapes), but our new string art system opens up a whole new world of possibilities. From cute critters to fashionable flowers to trendy typography, kids can make everything in the book after learning just three simple methods.

The final results may look intricate, but we include an only-from-Klutz pin-pushing tool so even a string-art newbie can create awesome art with this classic craft. And our pin-pusher solves string art's prickliest problems by making sure that every pin goes in straight and at the same height. With instructions for 20 projects and enough materials for six, kids will be making amazing art in no time.
