Dressing My Fashionista for Back to School with @KidzBloom
My girl's are lovers of fashion. They shop at many stores every year to complete their looks and they are only 7 and 9. I cannot imagine their teenage years. This year we are...
Back-to-school is a big deal in my family. My kids really get excited about shopping for school supplies, clothes and most of all, backpacks.
We do something pretty fun every year for back to school. Each of my kids gets a new backpack and we donate the old one to our school. Believe or not, there are many children who don't have backpacks and carry everything to / from school in a grocery store bag.
My children look forward to picking out a new backpack each year as much as they look forward to donating their gently used backpack to the school. I love that my kids get to experience giving back at such a young age. In addition, when backpacks go on clearance at Target, I usually buy five or six more to donate to the school as well.
The past several years, I have noticed that the backpacks my children choose are more like fashion statements. My kids (especially my girls) have begun to express themselves more and more through fashion. This years backpacks totally prove it!
My oldest daughter is the fashionista in the family. She styles herself and everyone else. She chose this black and white backpack after only one hour of shopping. She said that the black and white colors go with everything plus the pop of pink shows her fun side. I think that she is right!
My youngest child wanted color on her backpack and she went in the other direction. She loved that every color was represented on her backpack and said that she will definitely stand out this year. What do you think?
My son likes that beach / surfer style and tends to go with colors / patterns that look like it. He was torn between the backpack that came with headphones and this backpack (which he ultimately chose):
Backpacks are the perfect way to let your kids express themselves and this is even more true when they wear school uniforms. This year my son has to wear a uniform every day and he is excited that he gets to let a little of his personality show through with his choice in backpack.
Kids can let their fashion flags fly no matter what they like with the vast selection of backpacks at Target.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Target Back To School. The opinions and text are all mine.
