The Untold Stories of Motherhood on Oxygen
Becoming a mother changed my life considerably. I had no idea when the baby was inside of me of the intense love, pride and more that I could feel for my child. I mean I really had no clue.
For the first time in my life, my heart was outside of me. Every fall, cut, nick, scrape, heartbreak I feel just as much as they do. My life, while drastically changed, is completely changed for the better. Just having these three beautiful children with their varying personalities make me smile so often when I think about them or when I am with them.
I am fascinated by all types of mothers and as we come up on Mother's Day this, year, I find myself wondering about those who adopt or foster children. My husband and I have discussed adoption a few times but never really fully talked about the idea of actually doing. I sometimes feel that our family is complete and at other times, I feel that I definitely have the capacity to love and welcome another child into our home.
I just watched this docu-short called The Untold Stories of Motherhood. This video shares many stories about mothers of all types. Mothers share their stories about adoption, foster pregnancy, teen parenting and more. This made me tear up.
