The Perfect Bed For 2026: Featuring Ergomotion

Earlier this year, I decided 2026 was going to be a new year for our sleep hygiene. Mattresses have always made me feel like Goldilocks, some are too soft, some are way too firm, and only a few have been just right. Beyond that, I felt like it was time to try out a reclinable bed of sorts, especially one that has a zero g mode!

In my search for a new bed I came across Ergomotion, and instantly fell in love with the Dawn House Bed! I especially loved the ability to order the bed in a Split King size, which I had very high hopes for since both sides of the bed would be independent and able to be set to different heights and inclines, which is especially great for couples with different preferences in this area. 

The team over at Ergomotion was kind enough to send over a new set up for us to try out including the Dawn House Bed and Dawn House Copper Hybrid Mattress! At the time of writing this, our family has had this bed for a few months, and here are our thoughts.

What we love

There is so much to love about this bed, it is truly one of the most high tech beds I have ever seen, let alone tried out. From the remote to the ability to connect your phone for analytics and remote use as well, this bed is nothing short of futuristic! While there is an endless amount of aspects to love, let's break down a few of our favorites!

The adjustable base: It’s no secret that wanting an adjustable base was the main driver in us finding a new bed, and this one does it all! I especially love all of the different ways to customize the position of the bed. You can raise the head, the feet, and the overall height of the bed to the perfect position for sleep. The height adjustment feature has been getting a ton of use since we have dogs, and when they are in the room we keep the bed lower so they can jump up without an issue. The bed also has various preset positions such as flat, zero g (which is great for decompressing), and read which is great for those cold mornings in bed when I have to respond to emails, but am not quite ready to go to the office!

The under bed light: If you’ve ever gotten up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and almost tripped over something that was left on the floor, this is going to be a game changer! The under bed light is motion sensored, turning on when you get out of bed, and turning back off once it senses your weight back on your bed. This is great since you don’t have to fumble with a remote to turn it on and off each time you get up. I will add that if you wind up not being a fan of the light, you are also able to turn it off, but you can still turn it back on if you wind up needing it!

Turn down service: One of my family’s favorite features of the bed is what we have dubbed the turndown service feature. In the Dawn House app, you are able to set times for the bed to rise you awake, but also to get your bed ready for you at bed time. So, if you like to sleep in the zero g position, and you go to sleep at 9pm, you can set your bed to automatically go to the zero g position at 9pm! This is one of those features that make the bed feel extra special, and truly feels like an at home version of turn down service.

The rise to wake function: Similar to the turn down service I mentioned above, you can set your bed to wake you up at your desired time. With this feature, your bed can raise your head up when your alarm goes off, to help gently wake you up. I know how hard it is to get out of bed with an alarm at times, and with this feature, it makes it where I can’t just curl back into bed when my alarm goes off!

Split King mattress: This has been the real change in the way my family sleeps! I have always seen and heard of Split King beds and they just seem like the perfect solution for any couple with different preferences when sleeping! You are able to adjust your own bed without having to worry about your partner's preferences, and it is especially great for people who go to sleep at different times! 

The mattress we picked out was the Dawn House Copper Hybrid Mattress, and it has been great! It is plush without being overly soft, and has the perfect amount of support for our sleep! The copper of the bed helps to keep you cool at night, which as a hot sleeper is absolutely a necessity! The mattress bends to the positions of the bed perfectly and is a very comfy addition to the Dawn House Bed! 

Quick tip for your sheets if you go with a split king… it is especially easy to change the sheets if you raise the head and feet of the mattress when changing out your sheets. It’s easier to reach the middle corners, and gives the sheet a tighter feel when laid back into the flat position!

Overall thoughts 

We love this bed! This has been one of the most advanced beds we’ve ever seen, and it has truly impressed us in how it works! There are so many other features to the bed, as well as additional accessories you can get for the bed since one of the great things about this bed is that it is especially meant to help people age in place. Whether you have parents who would need a bed with these features, or you are feeling that your bed isn’t quite doing the trick anymore, Ergomotion is an amazing option to consider! 

Since we have only had this bed for a few months when writing this review, I will be adding updates down below as time goes on, and as we discover new things about our new bed!
