If you have been following along, I have been sharing with you about the BOOST families and about our own experience with BOOST.

These families are very much like my own family. I could definitely relate.

Then I saw the third video and my heart dropped. The McCoy family shared the nutritional challenges of their daughter, Meghan, a cancer survivor. I seriously started crying and could not imagine what that family went through as they helped their daughter / sister fight and then beat cancer.

Meghan is an ordinary kid who has already had an extraordinary life. She is definitely a survivor. Check out her video and you can hear what her mother has to say.

The thing is, families like my family need products like BOOST. Kids like Meghan need it. There have been times that I have been so frustrated when I couldn't get my daughter to eat a thing but she would always drink a BOOST. I love that!

    One of the challenges I faced when my daughter was very young is she hated vegetables in almost any form- I would try sneaking them in etc.. I gave her vitamins until one spring my neighbor who is much older and wiser suggested I plant a garden and my daughter help. Ms. Wooten (neighbor) said “Kids will eat what they grow” I was skeptical but that was the best advice I ever got. After planting tending and watching things grow, I really had no problem with vegetables anymore- plus the time we spent there is something to treasure!

    My kids are both very picky eaters. I have a hard time making dinners that everyone will eat.
    Some nights my little guy will only eat cheese. Which I know is bad but better then nothing. I fear he is not getting all the nutrition he needs.

    My daughter was recently diagnosed with ADD. It’s been a hard year trying to figure out why she was failing high school and now that we have an answer, it’s been a relief and school is much easier for her now that she has medication.

    I have been fortunate enough that I don’t have too bad of a challenge with my children or grandchildren. The one grandchild however, we have used Boost for on a regular basis and he loves it. He has suffered from many ear infections, has had tubes and is experiencing some loss of hearing and although tubes came out, he is still having problems. On those days, he just wants nothing to eat and I feel at ease knowing he is getting all he needs with this. I also told my sister to drink it as she is only 90 lbs and is nothing but skin and bones.

    In 2007 both of our daughters were hospitalized with pneumonia and one required surgery. I had to stay in the hospital with my daughter for nine days while suffering morning sickness. :O

    The biggest challenge was to get my husband when we got married was to introduce him to the vegetable and fruit world. He lived in Germany for most of his adult life and never had or wanted any of these things. Growing up he wasn’t served many vegetables because his father refused to eat them……now? The only thing he won’t eat is Brussel Sprouts, so I pat myself on the back for doing a great job! 🙂

    One challenge our family faced was when my grand daughter was born with two openings in her heart. They have both closed, but the time waiting and worrying between pediatric cardiac visits to hear they have both closed was very trying.
