Wordless Wednesday No Punching Fish
Yesterday while at Disney's Animal Kingdom my six year old daughter saw this sign. Instead of reading the sign, she looked at the pictures and instantly knew what they were trying to tell her....
Enclosed in the middle of a 43 acre wildlife preserve, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a version of an African encampment, complete with authentic replicas. The lodge offers ample views of the surrounding savannas replete with indigenous African foliage and over 30 species of native African animals.

Wow that looks like fun! I need to save up and do something like that with my husband. That pool looks amazing. I don’t think I would spend much time working out if I was vacationing at this place unless I was swimming and walking around to see everything I could.
In that photo above (of the man and woman on the balcony with giraffes in background) …do you know exactly which section of the resort building that is taken from and what floor? I’m trying to find the BEST (but not -break-the-bank-best) room for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see giraffe (oh, and disney). 😉 Or any suggestions of rooms with great views?
My family and I stayed there a few years ago, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite hotel of ours! We’ve been to Disney World multiple times, and have stayed in almost every hotel there. But this one is just absolutely magnificent!! We chose a Savannah view, and found it was worth every extra penny. Also, the food there is absolutely delicious. My all-time favorite Disney meal is from Jiko – the filet on a bed of macaroni and cheese (it’s no longer on the menu, but they’ll make it if you order it!) – best thing ever!!
As a HUGE Disney fan, and someone with tons of experience – I absolutely recommend this hotel!
