Taking the Time to Follow My Passions
For a long time, I put my passions aside for what I believed to be the good of my family. Some of my passions cost money. They all cost time. And in 2003, as...
There are so many important in my life who use an “I love you,” “I appreciate you,” or “thank you.” I probably couldn't even count them all. There are several women who I am close to because they have impacted my life in some way. They have influenced me. They have celebrated with me. I appreciate them and am so thankful that they are in my life!
As you’ve navigated your own motherhood journey, what lessons did you carry along and what does she represent to you (and those who love her)?
Was there one in particular who was instrumental in your development – if so, why
Who inspires your motherhood journey today beyond the women who “raised” you? from these mother figures?
How will you express your celebration of and appreciation for them?
My sister Jennifer is a single mother of three very active and busy kids. I honestly don't know how she does it all. I cannot imagine how hard this is for her but she manages to make it look easy. She definitely deserves this Wonder Woman card.
I would give my mother the card above because it is cute and funny. She is an artist who was always using and re-using material for as long as I can remember. The googly eyes just crack me up because I know that she would find a way to reuse them. LOL.
My grandmother has had a tough couple of years being in and out of the hospital. I would tell her to not give up and to keep fighting. My grandmother has lived an amazing life (see: Who She Was Before She Was Babushka) and has been a wonderful influence in my life. I wished we lived closer but my kids & I call her frequently to tell her that we love her.
I told my stepmother a few years ago that she didn't have to bear children to be a mother. My kids adore her and this card above is perfect for her. She frequently cooks with my kids and teaches them to make new things. She also always lets them lick the beaters.
