For our family, July 4th is about getting together with friends and loved while celebrating the independence of the US. We make great food and fun memories. We have fun traditions of grilling out, shooting off some of our own fireworks and then heading to a few fireworks shows near us.

  • 1 tub EDY’S® Old Fashioned Vanilla Frozen Custard
  • 3/4 cup of chopped fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust
  • 1/4 cup of cream
  • 4 oz chocolate

  1. Allow the custard to soften slightly on the counter.  Place in a large bowl with the cherries.  Fold together.  Pour the custard into the pie crust and freeze.
  2. Warm the cream in the microwave. It is hot enough when it starts to bubble.  Pour in the chocolate and allow it to rest for one minute.  Wisk together to form a ganache.
  3. Pour the ganache over the frozen pie.  Place pie in the freezer for several hours.
  4. Serve with whipped cream.

    These flavors are fantastic! I would def go for an assemble yourself parfait bar with several flavors of custard and lots of choices for the parfait layers….brownie chunks, pound cake cubes, broken cookies, whipped cream, raspberries, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, granola, diced peanut butter cups, banana slices, etc.
