Get to Know the Blickenstaff’s Family Brand of Toys, Candy & Games #bringtraditionhome

blickenstaffs 6 #bringtraditionhomeI am being compensated by Blickenstaff’s as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

I love to patronize local toy stores. I always find a different selection than I would in those national stores. Smaller toy stores seem to carry different items and many toys that I enjoyed during my childhood.

For me toys are a bit nostalgic but I also love a good toy that is both educational AND fun to play with. I spend a lot of time shopping for toys and picking out the perfect toy for my children.

Have you heard of Blickenstaff’s?

Blickenstaff’s (a family name and family brand) is a toy & candy store that calls themselves a nice cross between Willy Wonka and FAO Schwarz. They want you to check them out. They are a smaller, boutique family store that encourages shoppers to shop around and really find the perfect items.

Blickenstaff’s is a toy store that carries hundreds of toys, candy, and games. Many of these items cannot be found in the “big- box” stores which means this is exactly the kind of place for me.

Blickenstaff’s carries hundreds of toys, candy and games, many of today’s most popular items. All of the toys, candy and games have been carefully curated and selected to help create an unforgettable nostalgic shopping experience. Adults will be reminded of wonderful childhood memories and kids will have the opportunity to create their own. Blickenstaff’s really is the new neighborhood toy store.

It’s such a shame that places like these are going out of business so it’s really nice to see one thriving! It’s such a cute store, too 🙂

What a wonderful, magical place! It reminds of a movie…but I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. Dustin Hoffman was in it. But I digress. I would love to visit a store like that, but there are none around here at all.

I couldn’t figure out where they were located until I saw their Twitter Page and couldn’t find a store locator on their site, are there multiple locations like a Franchise in every city, or just one?

Toy stores definitely bring out the kid in all of us.

That sounds like every kid’s dream! I’d love to visit it.

What an amazing looking place! I love independent stores, and try to patronize them whenever I can. They have so much more character than the chains.
