Did you know that it is important to have a year-long relationship with your Tax Advisor/professional? There may be times throughout the year that you need advice or have a question that needs to be answered. Wouldn’t you like to work with someone you can contact at any time throughout the year? I know that it the kind of relationship that I have with my tax advisor.
Tax preparation is not one-size-fits-all kind of thing. For instance, I have to stay on top of taxes all year round because of deductions for my business. I am sure that many of you do as well.
We are almost through tax season but that doesn’t mean you should stop preparing. You definitely need to stay organized and when changes happen, you can contact your tax pro to find out about the implications.

This is a really great idea. I need to look into doing this. I normally deal with all of it at the beginning of the year and it is a headache.
I am married to the IRS, literally, so I get free tax advice all year long 😉
Yeah that doesn’t seem like a benefit. Hope he has other good qualities! LOL 😉
I can see this being so helpful. I was pretty disorganized and I had to take a few days off of work just to get everything together.
This is really important information, being self-employed means that you probably should have a tax advisor all year round too because it can get confusing out there in this world being self-employed. I have to constantly read up on laws … be easier with a tax advisor.
Sounds helpful! We don’t usually keep in touch with our tax advisors unless we need some advice. I could see where it would be beneficial though!
After just toiling through tax prep even though I use Quicken I am reminded how spending time on this all year round makes the most sense. Better to stay on top of it!
I am so lucky to have an accountant in the family. It is really helpful for tax time.
This makes some important points.
It is pertinent to have a steady grasp of your tax information.
I like this, good to read and know this information. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the idea! That would be helpful. Glad you shared it. Thanks!
We so need to focus on getting yearly advice! Tax season is always a such a stressful mess and I suppose that it doesn’t always have to be. This is helpful.
Taxes are stressful, so it’s easier on me to work on them throughout the entire year. I need to look in hiring a tax advisor to guide & help.
Yes, this makes everything much easier. I didn’t know they were available. I’ll have to check them out.
I never thought to communicate with an advisor year round. It does make good sense though.
I will be checking this out. I sometimes have tax questions and knowing someone is just a phone call away makes me feel content. Thanks for sharing this.
I think I need a year round tax plan for next year. It was too close for comfort this year
