Westin Playa Conchal in Costa Rica
Located on Coasta Rica's breathtaking North-Pacific Riviera, the Westin Golf Resort & Spa is Starwood's first all-inclusive resort. It spans across 2400 acres of land, between a lush jungle and the Pacific Ocean, and has nearly every amenity imaginable from a lagoon-style pool, gardens, a tennis court, a championship golf course, a Westin Kids Club, fine dining facilities, personal concierge service for guests, Royal Beach Club Workout Facilities, and a full spa.
There are a selection of six different room types to choose from at the Westin Golf Resort & Spa; the deluxe junior suite, family junior suite, royal beach room, royal beach junior suite, the royal beach suite, and the royal beach villa. There are 406 rooms available in total, and each one is equipped with a plasma TV, a minibar that is restocked once per day, an iPod docking station, a Westin Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath, a living room with a couch and balcony or terrace that provides a view of Costa Rica's vistas.
There are options available for either a pool view or garden view room. Bathrooms come stocked with bathrobes, there is a 24-hour room service available, as well as a coffee maker in each suite. Basic upkeep amenities are also included such as an ironing board, a radio/alarm clock, an in-room safe, and a free newspaper delivery daily upon request.
The most basic room at Westin Playa Conchal is the Deluxe Junior Suite. This room has a living area with a sofa, a bedroom with Westin Heavenly bed, a bathroom with Heavenly Bath amenities, and a private terrace or balcony. Included with the room is 24-hour room service, a plasma TV, cable TV, and all meals and snacks. You can pay extra for laundry service and in-room Wi-Fi.
The Family Junior Suite is a basic room that is designed for families. This room has a living area for families, an elevated bedroom, a separate sitting area, and a private balcony or terrace. Included, especially for children in mind, are kid-sized bathrobes and slippers, as well as video games and a personalized minibar. You can enjoy free Wi-Fi, too.
The Royal Beach Room is a step-up from the Deluxe and Family Junior Suites. Each room has a bedroom, bathroom, Mahogany-and-marble accented living room, and a private balcony or terrace. Amenities included with this room are private check-in, free internet access, restaurant reservations, spas and excursions, and entrance to the private Royal Beach pool.
In the Royal Beach Junior Suite, you will find a bedroom, bathroom, living area with a sofa bed, and a private terrace or balcony. It includes Mahogany-and-marble décor. You get personal concierge service, private check-in, free Internet access, a flat screen TV, restaurant reservations, spas and excursions, access to the private Royal Beach pool, and breakfast and lunch service at Royal Beach Club lounge.
The Royal Beach Suite has a bedroom, separate living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a European spa jet-shower, a private balcony or terrace, and a private Jacuzzi. The room also includes personal concierge service, private check-in, free Internet access, access to the private Royal Beach pool, and all three meals and snacks at any restaurant, both buffet and a la carte.
The Royal Beach Villa is an ocean front room with a Westin Heavenly bed, Heavenly Bath master bathroom, a separate living room, a separate dining room, a private Jacuzzi, a glass-enclosed terrace, and an oceanfront balcony. This room includes several amenities, including 24-hour room service, personal concierge service, a safety deposit box, and private check-in.
Internet is available in the Royal Beach Club Lounge, and complimentary in-room, high-speed connection is available for SPG platinum members as well as in the Royal Beach Club and Family Room categories. Those who are not in either of those rooms are able to purchase Wi-Fi for US $15 per day.
THE SPA at Westin Playa Conchal includes massages and treatments in private indoor cabins, hydrotheraphy in the Jacuzzi pool, body and facial treatments, and a spa boutique and salon. There is also a Lagoon-style pool for all guests. Guests will also find a salon and a spa boutique.
In terms of dining and entertainment, the Westin has a large array of options that provide multiple types of cuisine; the Bamboo Restaurant, Medeterra Restaurant, Faisanella, Mitra Restaurant, Spirula Pizza & Pasta Bar, Caracola Restaurant, Las Candelas, Cauri Restaurant, and various bars.
Amenities that guests can enjoy at the Westin Playa Conchal include the Gardens, tennis courts, golf course, Westin Kids club, fine dining, the Gym, and the Royal Beach Club.
