Best Buy LG OLED
One of the best things we do each holiday season is upgrade some of the technology around our house. There is something that usually needs to be replaced so we make it a family...
Have you ever been vacuuming when the smell of burning rubber hits you?
This is something that had been happening to me on a regular basis. I had become used to buying belts on a regular basis because “belt burnout” had become part of my vacuuming routine.
And that burned rubber smell? That doesn't exactly leave the house anytime soon. It is nasty.
What about emptying the vacuum?
I have had a bagless vacuum for years because I thought that saving money on bags was such a great idea.
However, every time I emptied that container, half of the junk ended up back on the floor and some of it ended up in my nasal passages. I could never empty the container without having a serious coughing/sneezing attack and for some who already has bad allergies, this made my condition even worse.
Do you know how to match your vacuum to your needs?
We have a big family and we need a powerful vacuum. Three adults, three kids and a dog mean a high maintenance house! Most vacuums just don't meet our standards or hold up to our need and therefore, don't last very long in our house.
We were recently sent the Kenmore Intuition 31810 Upright vacuum to review. My expectations were high. All of the things that I was not liking about my current vacuum seem to be addressed by the Kenmore Intuition. Almost seemed to good to be true.
Here are the details on the Kenmore Intuition 31810 Upright vacuum:

Kenmore leaves behind cleaner air. True HEPA operation captures 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size, keeping irritating allergens at bay. Comes with a HEPA cloth dust bag.
Maximum Convenience
Get easy access to floor-level places where dust and debris collect with the low-profile design and dual-edge suction, alongside controls at your fingertips – On/Off/Bare Floor controls are integrated right within the handle. Plus, the foot- activated height adjustment allows you to easily adjust to your cleaning needs. Quick release cord hook, simply and quickly release the power cord. Cord storage also functions as a smartly designed carry handle.
SO HOW DID IT STACK UP?
First, I have been using this vacuum now for about two months. Not one time have I smelled burned rubber. Thank you Kenmore!
Next, I am loving the HEPA filtration which goes along well with the smart sensors. If you are after a true clean and want confirmation, this is definitely the vacuum for you. The HEPA filtration means almost nothing is in the air and the smart sensors show you that the floor is clean.
Check out the video below. My husband vacuumed a small patch of carpeting. You can see when he starts, that the lights are red. Watch as he vacuums and as the vacuum cleans the floor, the lights turn green. This is definite peace of mind for me.
My kids are always playing on the floor and the Kenmore Intuition provides confirmation that the floor is clean. I feel better knowing this. You can even feel the powerful suction of the vacuum as you are using it.
The vacuum weighs in at around 20 pounds but it easily maneuverable and gets in & out of all of the places that I vacuum on a regular basis. I even use it to sweep over the floors in my kitchen, which are linoleum, and it does a great job. Saves me time!
The Intuition also is easy to use on the stairs. I love the wand and my stairs have NEVER looked better. The pet hair also came right off of the couch. In addition, thanks to the 30 foot cord, I was able to use the wand to clean out my car the other day!
Honestly, there is no competition. The features on this vacuum and the performance easily make it the best vacuum that I have ever owned.
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU: If you want a bagless or cordless vacuum or you are looking for a small, lightweight vacuum. This powerhouse vacuum is surely a beast but highly effective. Your place will not be cleaner.

DISCLOSURE: Sears sent me the Kenmore Intuition 31810 Upright Vacuum to review.
You know that I love and read all of your reviews. I am in the market for a new vacuum and with 6 kids, I need something that will work well and last for a long time.
I used to own a Kenmore vac and I gave it my daughter.
Now I am definitely wanting to get another.
Great review.
We only have carpet upstairs so I’ve been making do with a lightweight vaccumn but it’s time to get some thing a little better. I’m not convinced we’re really getting everything up, and we have two cats so we need to keep on top of the car hair shedding better. I’d just keep it up stairs so I don’t have to worry about lugging it around. Thanks for the indepth review, I’ll check it out!
I really like HEPA vacuum cleaners. Thanks for this review.

That looks like a really good vaccuum cleaner. I wish I could get one like that, but I live in an RV and need a small one.

I’d love to have a vacuum like that! I’ve been looking at vacuums and am actually thinking about asking for one for Christmas {gasp}! You know it’s bad when you’re thinking of asking for an appliance for Christmas. We had a Dyson, but it got dropped down the steps and it hasn’t quite recovered!

Wow that’s really neat! We need a new vacuum so I think we’re going to definitely be looking into one of these.

Looks like a very nice vacuum! Do you know if this model is suited to hardwood floors? That’s what I have, and it can be hard to find the right vacuum for them.
I especially like the indicator light and the pull out wand. My current vac doesn’t have a pull out wand and I didn’t realize how much I need/use that until I bought a vacuum without one! We have a Cocker Spaniel in the house too, so I can definitely see the Pet Handimate too coming in handy. Thanks for the review!
It looks so innovative. lol. What a nice vacuum! I dont know if I would like one that is not bagless though. what is the price?
Sounds really great! Thanks for the review.
Great review. It sounds like an awesome vacuum.
Great review! I love the light on it haha
and WOW, a 30 foot cord! that is a plus!
I like how the lights go from red to green- I do cat rescue & also have a odg. There is so much pet hair I can almost make another animal out of it. Pet hair is one of the hardest things on a vaccuum- I have an Electrolux I bought an an auction a few years back that does a fairly decent job, but even as powerful as it is, I know there is pet hair behind. This Kenmore sounds awesome!
I also own this vacuum, just purchased. I sell vacuums, and I’ve seen a lot of different fads and designs come and go. This model, and the 31100 have been consistently popular, with only slight feature modifications and color changes. Kenmores, by far, seem to outrank the competition for durability and consumer satisfaction. I have a lot of customers come in to get their second Kenmore, as they just gifted their 20 year old kenmore that’s still working to their grandchildren and want another just like it.
