To me, Mother's day is all about taking time for myself while being showered with gifts from my family. Ok well that is not exactly what happens but I do get to enjoy myself with my family. The day is all about me and I LOVE IT!
My family really takes the time to make each Mother's Day memorable for me. I get homemade cards, homemade gifts, tons of hugs and kisses plus I even get to lay in bed with my entire family while we watch a few movies. This is one of my favorite things to do.
Last year my kids made me breakfast in bed and it included plenty of HoneyBaked Ham. This is seriously one of my favorite foods (I actually have an unpublished draft called Ode to Ham) so we had it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just look at it. Doesn't it make your mouth water?
The kids also put together the cutest at home spa basket with all of the things they thought that I might need. They even bought me nail polish in their favorite colors which I wore proudly.
