I consider myself an expert in family travel since we travel so much. In order to maximize our luggage space and to always be able to bring home souvenirs, there are several things that we consistently do when traveling.
1. Roll and Stuff Everything
We tightly roll all of our clothing in our luggage and we even stuff our shoes with rolled clothing to maximize space.
2. Weigh Everything
We also weigh everything before we go to the airport so when we check our luggage, there are no surprises.
3. List it all
I make a list to pack from and this list is great because I use it again when we are leaving to ensure we are bringing everything home. This also works if luggage is lost and then you have an exact list of what was inside.

I love the colours! Having luggage like this would make packing SO much more fun :-). And I wouldn’t have to worry about grabbing the wrong suitcase at the airport by accident!
I love the idea of having a list. The list should be kept on hand, in a purse, or other place than the luggage. Otherwise luggage go missing. So does the list.
