Brewing A Better Day with Green Mountain Coffee

Every Sunday morning, my husband and I have a ritual. We get up early before everyone else in the house. Once of us then makes two cups of coffee and then we meet out on the deck for a few moments of peace. Our deck overlooks a wooded backyard with walking trails and a creek that runs through. It is incredibly peaceful. Very zen-like.

We only get the chance to do this once a week because with three children in various activities (yet thankfully attending the same school for one more year) our weekdays are a myriad of packing lunches, running carpool, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, cheerleading, soccer, gymnastics, lacrosse and sometimes birthday parties.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my life. So does my husband. We chose this life and I wouldn’t change a thing. I just don’t get to breathe that much during the week and that’s ok. My family is the most important thing in my life. I adore them all.

Did I mention that I run my own business? Between Twitter parties, blog campaigns, running my own blog and occasional travel, I am definitely one busy person.

However, I take time out when I can to sit, relax and savor the moment. Sometimes I get to do this several times per week. Sometimes I just get that one time.

But no matter what my focus every single day is to have the best day that I possibly can. It is my mantra. I know that I am completely responsible for my life and my own happiness. That one day a week when my husband and I chat over coffee (iced or hot – we like to change things up) gives us time to re-connect.
