The LEGO Movie
This is part of a compensated campaign. Are you or is someone in your family a LEGO fan? My kids love LEGO and so do I. I cannot remember a time as mother when...
For years, two out of three of my children have needed a little extra help in math. One child is a math whiz but the other two struggle at times. Although all three kids get ‘A's' in math, for two kids, they need to keep their skills sharp and we do that with apps/websites that make math fun.
Our youngest child has struggled in school for a while. She is a good student and she tries hard but she needs a little extra help from time to time. Umigo gives her that help in a super fun way that keeps her asking again and again to watch another “appisode.” Anything that helps my child in a way that she truly enjoys and it makes learning fun is a total win in my book.
I want my daughter to be a lifelong learner, a critical thinker and a problem solver. Umigo helps her with that!
UMIGO – You Make It Go – is a fun, vibrant world of adventure that uses the building blocks of math to engage early elementary age kids in narrative-driven “appisodes.”
UMIGO:
UMIGO kicks off the Summer of UMIGO on National Summer Learning Day, Friday, June 19, in an effort to help combat the “summer slide.” In partnership with the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA), UMIGO will bring its narrative-based appisodes, interactive games, activities, and educational resources to more than 70 communities around the country. You can find a location close to you by looking on the NSLA’s interactive map at SummerLearningDayMap.org.
I am thrilled with Umigo. As the mother of three, I have tried workbooks, apps, computer games and so much more to keep my kids interested in math. Umigo makes it easy for kids to learn the math concepts that they need to know and use on a daily basis.
But they make it fun, engaging and they have adorable characters who my daughter wants to see again and again. She asks for Umigo by name.
Want to see for yourself how much fun Umigo can be for your child? Check out this adorable video. I liked watching it as much as she did.

I never heard of UMIGO before, but I really like that they have free downloadable at-home activities for all my family, specially for my kids. I going to check it out right now ^_^
That sounds like such an awesome app. I love it. I definitely want to download it for my kids.
This would be great for kids to do over the summer so they wouldn’t forget the Math they learned during the school year. Looks like a really fun game.
This sounds like a great thing for kids that struggle with math. Thankfully my kids are doing fine in math so far, but at least I know this is out there!
As a teacher, I’d definitely try this! Looks like something my kids would enjoy.
I will check this out for my kids. We stay active with Math through actual lessons at home.
I have teens. I don’t know of anyone who could use this. I think it is a great idea if it helps children learn. My daughter has always struggled with math and other subjects. She enters highschool this coming fall for the first time.
This looks like a great math game for kids! I love all the educational kids programming available today!
How neat! I love any chance that I find to try and make learning more fun for kids.
This is perfect to keep the summer learning happening for the math portion.
I”ve not heard of this before, What a great program!
Thanks for sharing. My kids would use this.
I love blogs that help and give new information. Thank you for sharing all this information to everybody.
This is the first time I heard about this. My girls hate math. I think this will help them love the numbers.
A free but very useful content for the kids? I would quickly grab the opportunity to use one! Thanks!
My daughter needs a little bit of help in math as well. I’ll be checking this out for her. I bet it will help during the summer.
This sounds great! Pretty sure we could use umigo this summer. For my kiddos. What a great fun idea!
Anything that helps prevent the dreaded “summer slide” os a happy thing. I like that the program is divided into appisodes so that there isn’t too much info all at once.

Any educational program that can prevent the dreaded “summer slide” brain drain is a great thing. I love that they have divided lessons into manageable bites so nobody gets overwhelmed. Looks like a good program.
What a fun way to prevent that summer backslide kids can get. I am going to show this to my son. I bet he would love it.
How awesome is this?! I am totally adding this to his YouTube channels to watch. We are always trying to find a fun way to practice math!
This is such a nice way to stay on top of curriculum in the summer. The videos and games seem really catchy and nice to look at.
How can you argue with fun and learning at the same time. I definitely need to get this for my daughter.
What a great way to keep kids entertain kids during the summer! I wish we had apps like this when I was younger!
My kids are grown now and pretty good at math but this is a great way to make it fun and engaging.
Thanks for sharing this. I have never heard of this until now. As an educator and a parent, I will certainly look into this.
I’m interested in trying this for my son. I want him to continue strengthening his math skills, but also to have fun over the summer.
This looks super helpful and fun! My 6 yearold is struggling with her math and has almost no interest in it. I think she would get a lot out of this.
I’m not familiar with UMIGO, but we always try to keep our son’s reading and math skills sharp, even during the summer so he starts back to school each year on par, if not ahead of the game, so to speak. I’ll check it out!
We’re doing little things here and there to combat summer slide. I think it’s important to do it, with moderation of course. Play in the summer matters too.
My son would probably love this. He doesn’t like doing math with me but he will play games, etc. when it comes to math.
We just starting working with some basic math with our three year old, he’s known his alphabet and counting for a year now, we don’t want him to get bored. This looks like a great tool.
