Supplies

  • Cardboard roll or tube (paper towel rolls work great!)
  • Assorted scrapbook paper in a Valentine’s Day theme
  • Glitter foam
  • Conversation hearts
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors

Directions

1. Begin by cutting the cardboard roll into 4 inch pieces. This will allow plenty of room for treats. Your scissors should be able to handle this job just fine.

2. Next, roll your cardboard tube in a piece of scrapbook paper. Cut the paper to fit and secure it to the roll with glue.

3. Now, you are going to fold in one end of your roll. To do this, bend in the edge of one side towards the center, and bend the opposite end directly on top of it. Secure the top flap to the first flap with a generous amount of craft glue.

4. In the open end, fill your treat box with treats such as chocolate kisses, handwritten fortunes, or conversation hearts. You will then close the opened end of the tube using the same procedure as described in step 3.

5. Finish the treat box by cutting a strip of glitter foam and wrapping around the box. Secure it with glue. You can layer an additional strip on top of the first if you wish to add more interest.

6. Embellish the box with a conversation heart. Just add a dab of glue and press it until secured. It is the perfect touch!

Your Valentine’s Day treat box is now ready for use. Display these in a basket as guests arrive, pass them out at parties, or place one at each place setting. They are a fun and festive way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit! We hope that you are inspired by this DIY Valentine’s Day Treat Box. Happy Valentine's Day!
