This Traditional Caprese salad recipe combines fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt, pepper, and mozzarella into a tasty combination of flavors. We hope that you love this Traditional Caprese Salad Recipe.

There are some really good whole milk mozzarella cheese that you can find now in the US that we frequently use instead of buffalo milk mozzarella.  Cheese is all a matter of personal preference. When I am in Italy, I eat nothing but buffalo milk mozzarella and then at home, I prefer some of the fresher mozzarella cheeses available. This Traditional Caprese Salad Recipe covers all of the bases for the perfect Italian salad.
