Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest

Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest

You might remember that I recently announced that I am a Six Flags Super Mom! If your family is anything like my family, then Halloween is a fun time of year. We get crazy. Everyone dresses up. We go to several costume parties and we hit all of the local places that have candy giveaways or crafts. We love everything about Halloween.

This will be our first year going to Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest as a family. For the past several years I  have taken my son or my husband has taken our son but both of my daughters have been too scared to go. Because before this year, I never truly realized that there were so many things for my girls to do besides scary things. However, there are so many things for all of  us to enjoy. I cannot wait to see what my family thinks of the all new Fright Fest.

Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest for Halloween

Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS® will be a frighteningly all-new experience this year as it is overrun with zombies, vampires and ghouls for Halloween. This year guests can expect the scariest Fright Fest ever with twenty-two horrifying attractions including five new scare zones, three new haunted attractions and zombie walkers behind every turn. As darkness descends, Six Flags Over Georgia will transform from a theme park to an “extreme scream” park with never before experienced levels of fright!

New for Six Flags in 2013

I think that Six Flags just tries to outdo themselves every single year and this year is no different.

  • Monstrosity Championship Wrestling – It’s Frankenstein vs. Dracula or a Werewolf vs. Zombie at this unbelievably frightening show! Watch age old monsters battle it out in this amazing epic battle.

  • Terror Trail Backwoods Bloodshed – The cannibalistic carnivores are back and more brutal than ever. Visit the Bloodtown Lumber Yard where the murders began years ago and try to survive where so many before have not. (Additional fee required)

  • Asylum – Dr. Fright releases the mentally insane from the institution. The most evil, sadistic patients are escaping and roaming the grounds near Axis Asylum!! (Additional fee required)

  • Kill Island –As chaos runs wild in the streets of Six Flags, groups are formed and factions begin fighting, the secrets of Kill Island are revealed and the evil just might catch guests as they escape from the island. ! (Additional fee required)

New for Fright Fest 2013 – Five New Scare Zones

  • Mummy’s Tomb – Beware as mummies terrorize anyone who dares to disturb their slumber. It is a life or death race before the Pharaoh casts his curse to forever entrap anyone that ventures into his tomb.

  • Monster Graveyard –Dracula is building an army with everyone’s favorite classic monsters intent on terrorizing those who make the mistake of entering the Monster Graveyard.

  • Dracula’s Lair – Dracula and his brood of bloodthirsty vampires are hungry and have been waiting for prey! The Monster Graveyard culminates in this den of the undead.

  • Freak Show – Step right up to see some of the most grotesque creatures Dr.Fright has to offer.  Stare in wonder at the half man/half animal mutants!

  • Zombie Quarantine – Dr. Fright wages mass chemical warfare in the British Section of the park to build an army of zombies to help Baron von Vile retain control of Fright Fest.

All of Fright Fest signature attractions are returning again this year including Terror Train, The Last Ride, and the return of fan-favorite show Dr. Fright’s Dead Man’s Party at the Crystal Pistol Music Hall. Guests can expect an entirely new Fright Fest this year as Six Flags brings all new horrifying thrills to complement these returning favorites.

During the day it’s Thrills by Day at Six Flags Over Georgia. Family-friendly Halloween activities for children can be found throughout the park. In BUGS BUNNY’s Spooky Town families will enjoy a day filled with ghostly events: trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, spooky story time and other fun surprises.

In BUGS BUNNY’s Spooky Town, it’s fall festival family fun right in our own backyard!

  • Kids Costume Contest- Parents can register children each day during Fright Fest at the BUGS BUNNY World Theater.

  • McBoogles Hanson Cars- Meet the McBoogles and read what happens to this silly and spooky family of ghosts during a leisurely drive on the antique Hanson Cars ride.

I was kind of on the fence but it really looks fun plus my kid loves the characters. We also love any chance to wear a costume.
