Pampers Wants to Help You Plan The Perfect Baby Shower

I remember my baby shower. Just like it was yesterday although it was 8 years ago. In fact, it was right after I had my first child. He was six weeks early and came the day of my first planned baby shower.

So the shower planners had a few more weeks to work with and we had a fabulous baby shower, complete with the fabulous baby. I had another shower a few weeks later at a local restaurant for the just the girls. Both showers were wonderful and greatly appreciated.

I have also planned many baby showers. With everything from Baby Jar Creme Brulee to Baby Boot Petit Fours, planning the perfect baby shower is fun although it can be hard work. It can also be expensive.

Food. Favors. Presents. And more. Everything adds up.

So my challenge to you readers is to tell me who you would plan a baby shower for. Is there someone in your life that could use a great baby shower? Maybe you even want to plan one for yourself.

    I have a friend of mine who’s pregnant and a single mom like me, I’d throw her a baby shower. To make it memorable…hmmm well having a baby shower at all would be memorable for her, but I’d get one of those diaper cakes. I like the baby food jar creme brulee idea, I think I’ll stea….errr, borrow it!!

    I would split the funds and plan two parties. I’d plan a party for a friend of mine who is about to have a baby after 10 years of IVF treatments (she gives me hope!). I’d also plan a party for one of the girls I have become friendly with at the charity for unwed and/or addicted mothers that I volunteer at.
    I’d like to host a party serving fresh, organic, preservative, non-gmo and stimulant free foods and beverages.

    My niece is having a baby. It hasn’t been a great experience being that she is 16. She’s gotten a lot of flack from friends and family for making such poor choices. People just need to realize that what’s done is done and it should be all happiness and joy from here on out. I’d love to have a baby shower for her that might help her out of her funk and help her bring in her little bundle of joy! Something fun and flashy that a 16 year old could appreciate! No frills, lace, or rubber duckies for her!

    I would throw the shower for my baby and invite just my kids, maybe some family too. But I feel kinda guilty about not having one for #4 and think it would be fun to let her older siblings experience something like that!

    a friend of the family is pregnant so she would be a good choice…to make it memorable, I would have everyone make a scrapbook page for the baby for various occasions. She loves to scrapbook herself, but I think a scrapbook that her friends and family helped create would be special too.

    I would throw the shower for a classmate of my late daughter’s. She just graduated high school and is pregnant.

    I would make it special by incorporating some purple butterflies in there. My daughter is very well remembered for her love of purple butterflies, and I know her friend would appreciate the symbolism. I would also dig out my photography equipment and shoot some for the mom to be. I haven’t really taken any photos since losing my daughter. I can’t think of a more special way to begin photographing again….as a new life is beginning.

    My sister is currently planning a baby shower for me. She is just out of college and on a tight budget but is still going all out to make it an awesome party. I would love to win this to help her out with the budget so she doesn’t go broke just for my baby shower! She has told me that she has done a lot of planning on the computer, from making the invites in Photoshop, to utilizing Etsy for decorations and party favors. I can’t wait to see the ideas she has come up with!

For example, one person is going to volunteer 1 month of doing her laundry. Another is offering 6 babysitting sessions. Another is offering to take pictures when they get home from the hospital.     I don’t have any friends or family who are currently pregnant, so I guess I would throw the shower for the next person I know that is! LOL I would make it memorable by NOT having any of those silly shower games, making it open to both genders to participate, making it a vegetarian pot luck, and having everyone fill out a note card with their best parenting advice on it for the parents to keep!

    I would throw it for my friends Steve and Ryan who are planning to have their second child in the next couple of years…too late to have it for their current baby! LOL It would be memorable because it would be a shower for guys…gals allowed but the parents to be are dudes! All the games and stuff would be gay-centric and funny/fun!

    My friend and I are both pregnant. I’d love to throw her a shower, but secretly I’d love a shower for myself. We’re expecting twin girls – 2 more than normal, plus we already have a boy, so we need most everything!

    When I throw a shower, we have some good snacks (healthy and borderline ;-)) and then we fellowship for a while. After that, we open up the gifts and ooh and ahh.

    For decorations, I love doing the clothesline with onesies in the gender that is being expected. Sometimes we play games, but if I can’t get good prizes to give away, it’s not much fun – so with this, we could play some GREAT games!

    I would totally make the cake since I’ve taken cake design classes!

    I am actually expecting my third baby in July, but I think I would want to throw a baby shower for a friend who is expecting her second in July with me! It is her first girl and so we would have an all things pink shower! To make her shower most memorable, I would make sure to take lots of pictures and make a memorable scrapbook of the event for her!

    My sister-in-law is having a baby this fall and I’m throwing her a baby shower in 2 months! I am so excited and want it to be fun for everyone. I would like to make special gifts for all of the guests, have a delicious cake with her favorite fondant icing and everything boy blue in the room! Plus, i’d love to get it catered with her favorite foods. This AMEX card would definitely make all of this possible. Otherwise, I’ll just have to wing it with about $50. Eck!

    Wow, this would be amazing. I’d throw a shower for my best friend who currently lives in Korea with her husband. She’ll be back at the end of the year and I’d love to do this for her simply because she won’t really have anything to start out with back here in the States!     I’m planning a baby shower for my sister in law as she is pregnant with her first child. I’m going with the chic Sugar and Spice theme because my sister in law is very chic. The colors are Strawberry pink and Chocolate brown for the decorations and invitations and ribbon on just about everything. There is going to be a homemade cookie buffet and carafes of chocolate, strawberry and regular milk..     I would throw a baby shower for my friend. She had triplets 9 years ago with a guy who doesn’t support them. He never seen them . She struggled to raise the babies on her own and now she is married to a good guy and having baby boy this August. I would make this baby shower memorable by having small group of friends and family to celebrate this joyous occasion. i would planned a brunch with all her favorite foods.I would got her favorite whipped cream cake, have the guests decorate onesies, and get her favortie chocolate candies as favors. i would also help her out and get her some essentails like car seat, stroller and diapers since she going through a hardship with this pregnancy. I would like her baby shower to lift her spirits. Thank you!

    I would throw a baby shower for a mommy -to- be who is expecting her first baby this fall! We would have a great time with friends and family, play shower games and eat yummy food! I would spend the majority of the money on things she will need for her newborn (diapers, wipes, pack-n-play, etc.)

    I would have the baby shower for my friend Dani Jo. What would make it special is merely having one. She and her husband are expecting baby #11 (no twins either). To say she doesn’t get much more then odd looks and whispers with such an announcement would be an understatement. I’d love to throw her a shower and celebrate the joyous news of new life.

He’s one super duper special baby and she is one super duper special girl. We’re going to throw a fabulous summer poolside baby shower… and shower herr with gifts to make her know how special she is to every one of us. its going to be a chic fabulous glamorous baby shower 🙂

    I would throw a baby shower for my nephews baby mama. soon to be married and seal the deal. only fair for the baby you see. I would have little diaper cups with nuts and candys, colorful balloons, someone walking in the hall dressed as a teddy bear, a pregnant belly cake. i think i can make that. colorful streamers hanging from the ceiling, fun prizes with games that are unique. all within a reasonalbe price range. they would be thrilled. @MCJunkie on twitter

    Is it ok to have one for myself and have a girls night out diapers and wipes and anything nice shower?! 🙂 I’m hosting one for a friend just this coming Monday and it’ll be so much fun to get to go out with all the girls to a local resturant and just relax and have fun! I’m also pregnant and wouldn’t mind hosting another girls night out to honor my soon to be arrival too. 🙂

    My sister who’s going to deliver soon could really use this. I would have a princess theme party, pink cupcakes & little bunnies. A fairy tale wonderland, different colors balloons. Have little gift bags for the parents, baby name book, a diaper bag & of course pink & purple bottles. I also like the idea of having finger foods, sandwiches, and ice cream sandwiches. A crib, matching bedding sets, a bath set for mom & baby. Such a wonderful giveaway, thank you.
