Love, Santa: Revealing the Heartwarming Reality of Santa Claus #LoveSantaBook

Since the birth of my first child, seeing Santa every year has been our family tradition. In fact, we see the exact same Santa year and we take video to combine showing how the kids have grown year after year. I love this tradition and I love the entire Christmas season. I love everything about the holidays. We hope that you enjoy this Love, Santa: A book for sharing the beautiful truth about Santa #LoveSantaBook post.

As a parent, one of the most bittersweet things so far for me has been two of out three of my children discovering the truth about Santa. My youngest is still on the fence but mostly knows the truth but I will keep silent until she brings it up first. I love the magic of Christmas and indeed the entire holiday season. A large part of that is because of Santa. I grew up with the same beliefs and saw him every year so I loved sharing that very same tradition with my kids.

However, it never occurred to me that one day they would no longer believe. I wanted to cry at first. Seriously. I don't want them growing up. Then I got myself together, talked my husband and we figured out how to handle it together. What we really needed was a book like Love, Santa.

Love, Santa

Author Martha Brockenbrough shares a series of letters in which a young girl writes to Santa to ask about the North Pole, Mrs. Claus, and of course, Christmas goodies. Each year Santa writes back and they develop a relationship. This heartwarming relationship goes on until one year, the girl writes to her mother instead: Mom, are you Santa? Her mother responds to say that no, she is not Santa. Because Santa is bigger than any one person — we bring him out through kindness to one another and the power of imagination. This transformative tale spins a universal childhood experience into a story about love, giving, and the spirit of Christmas.
