While cooking and prepping, you will be touching a lot of unknown surfaces. Make sure you’re washing those hands as much as possible. Not to mention, you don’t want to get sick right before the big Thanksgiving Day.

2. Stay hydrated.

Did you know that your body is made from mostly water? Staying hydrated is an important aspect during the holidays. If you aren’t hydrated enough, your immune system can break down. Drinking lots of water is one way to stay healthy and sane during the holidays.

3. Pick your battles.

The holidays bring a bunch of stress. Keep this in mind, pick your battles. Getting stressed out is not worth it during the holidays. Make sure you stay stress free and pick your battles. I mean, does it matter what kind of gravy is on the table?

4. Ask for help.

One key to staying healthy and sane during the holidays is to ask for help. Ask others to bring a side dish for Thanksgiving dinner. Don’t try to do everything yourself; it’s not worth it.
