CREEPY CRAWLY SNICKERS CRUNCH CAKES
This treat is one my son's favorite things to bring for parties. He asks me every year to make them for him complete with spider rings.
I make chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Just before pouring the batter into cupcake liners, I add in about 10 mini SNICKERS into the mix. To prep the SNICKERS, I freeze them, put them in a Ziploc, cover with paper towels, place on a cutting board and crush them with a meat tenderizer. Then I bake as usual. The SNICKERS add a little crunch and a lot of gooeyness.
I also add a little extra cream cheese to the frosting so that it becomes a little stickier and thicker. Once they are frosted, I use another 10 mini SNICKERS bars prepared the same way above. I dip each cupcake into the SNICKERS and press. Once I turn the cupcake over, I press the SNICKERS into them slightly so they stay put. Garnish with a spider ring and they are done.
