Small Steps, Big Result Attainable New Year's Resolutions

Did you know that 45% of all Americans will make a New Year's resolution?

As someone committed to healthy eating, I'm always on the lookout for delicious and nutritious options to incorporate into my daily routine. This past year, I made significant strides towards a balanced diet. To further my progress in the new year, I plan to focus heavily on meal planning. This ensures I always have healthy choices readily available, avoiding last-minute temptations.

Thinking about getting on track for a healthier you in the new year? Here are some Achievable New Year's Resolutions (or as I like to call them, resolutions you can realistically stick to) that I personally plan to follow. These tips are perfect whether you're a seasoned healthy-eating pro or just starting your journey!

Boost Your Productivity:  Achievable New Year's Resolutions

1. Start today.

I used to be a “tomorrow person” myself. You know the type: “I'll exercise tomorrow,” “I'll eat better tomorrow,” always putting off taking care of myself. But that stops now! This year, let's be “today people.” If you have a health goal for the new year, don't wait – start this very minute! No more procrastination, let's make it a healthier you, today!

2. Drink lots of water.

Often times people are dehydrated and have no idea. Water is an important part of your everyday routine. I carry water with me everywhere I go in a reusable water bottle. I even travel with my water bottle so I can always hydrate. This is definitely an Attainable New Year's Resolutions.

3. Get annual health checkups.

This seems to be a no-brainer but I am surprised at the amount of people who actually don't go to see their doctor and dentist annually. Making certain that your teeth and body are in order means that you can stick to your health goals.

4. Get moving. Stretch and exercise daily.

No matter what, try to at least move or exercise for 10 minutes a day. I do squats in my bathroom while I am putting on makeup on or fixing my hair. I stretch every morning when I wake up and this is a great start to my day. This is one of my favorite achievable new year's resolutions or Attainable New Year's Resolutions.

5. Learn proper portion sizes.

This was key for me for achievable new year's resolutions. I had no idea what a proper portion size was until I started researching it. Now I know exactly how much to eat and I can track my portions much better.

6. Reduce screen time.

Reducing my screen time is something that I aspire to do every single day and mostly fail but I still try to monitor myself as much as possible. I try to put my phone down, get off of the computer and just read an actual book every single night before going to bed. Reduced screen time means less strain on my eyes which is always a good thing.

7. Practice proper posture.

Sit up straight. You would be surprised at how effective proper posture can be on your body. You can experience much less fatigue and your back with thank you and this is an achievable new year's resolutions that is just better for you.

8. Plan your meals, snacks and EAT breakfast daily (don't skip meals).

Honestly this seems like a lot of work but you would be surprised at how much time you can actually save by planning what you are going to eat everyday. I plan absolutely everything that I will be eating for the next day the night before.
