In the past several years, I have spent a lot of time searching for and buying corporate gifts. I buy corporate gifts for a variety of reasons. I buy them for current customers, potential customers and for people inside the company as gifts or for reaching certain milestones.
I put a lot of thought into buying these gifts because I am pretty stingy when it comes to spending company money. I have a budget that I very rarely go over. I look for quality at a great price and something that people will want to keep rather than toss into a desk drawer with a bunch of others company's gifts.
In order to find the best gifts, I am frequently asking current customers what they like. If I see a branded item on someone's desk or something that they are carrying around, I will ask them about it. I ask who gave it to them, how they like it and what other gifts they have liked. People are always willing to share this information which makes it much easier when shopping in the future.
The gifts and items that I regularly buy include promotional products such as watches, pens, computer bags and more. I also buy a lot of promotional clothing because, in the restaurant business, it is all about advertising all of the time and t-shirts plus corporate branded polo shirts make it easy to do this.
I am constantly selling my company. Wearing the logo or handing out a promotional item with the logo is always a great conversation starter. The most popular items that I have found tend to be pens, polo shirts and business card holders. These are items that will always be used if the quality is good. I checked out ProdPromo and got some great ideas for my next purchase. I am thinking the Paris Business Card Holders are pretty cool. What do you think?
I love the Paris Business Card holders, those are awesome! I use a Breast Cancer Awareness business card holder but it’s not as cool looking as those!
I saw you were featured @ BlogRollers today too!! Congrats!

Hubby has a carpentry business- small but I have bought the promo pens & also pencils for years. People always mispace a business card, but for some reason they hold onto pens.
We have only changed our phone number once in 20 years and I have had a few call who kept his pens from 10 years ago.
I would love to do the polo shirts-he is a one man crew usually though!
