Do you know your OTC’s? KnowYourOTCs.org

If there is something that I am a fanatic about it is medicines and pretty much any types of items with an expiration date. I think that it is crucial to remove expired things from our home as soon as possible.

I will not let anyone take any sort of expired medicine in our house. Have you had something like a soda that went past its expiration? One sip and you know that something is wrong with it. One look at the expiration date and you automatically think, “Aha!”

I am just as vigilant about medicine that I am about food and even though you cannot taste a medicine that is past the expiration date, it is important to remove anything expired from your home. But I had no idea that I shouldn't just be tossing it in the trash bin. However, one read of the one of the handy infographics on the KnowYourOTCs.org and I knew that I was doing things wrong.

As a consumer, I feel that it is my responsibility to take charge of my own healthcare and that of my family. I have been trying to do a much better job of that lately. But frankly, I get confused and I end Googling the answers to something but I go to a lot of different sites. Now there is one resource that I can head to first every time I need information.
