We are Christmas lovers around here. If you looked in my basement, you might say that Christmas exploded. LOL. However, my family and I love everything about the season. I love the Christmas cheer. I love picking the perfect gifts. I love taking my children to see Santa. I also love the meaning of Christmas and celebrating that as well.

This year we have something new in our Christmas in our arsenal. We were recently sent a Crab Pot Christmas Tree and you have no idea how much this excited everyone in the family.

WHAT IS A CRAB POT CHRISTMAS TREE?

A Crab Pot Tree is a unique creation made from green coated crab trap mesh that allows you to bring a coastal theme to you holiday decor . You can decorate the tree with shells, fish, floats, net and other nautical items for that coastal theme or trim the tree for other occasions.

The trees are made “pre-strung” with lights and fold flat for storage. Imagine, a tree you never have to string lights on! Just unfold and secure the sides together with twist ties! Your tree is ready to decorate! The trees come in 2′, 3′, 4′ or 6′ tall versions and can be used indoors or out.

These trees are durable enough to be used in your yard year after year, where they “magically” twinkle as you walk or drive by.

HOW TO USE A CRAB POT CHRISTMAS TREE

OUTDOORS

To use outdoors, we recommend anchoring the trees to the earth with several anchor wires (included) in case of wind. In the yard after dark, the trees take one a magical appearance. Here you see 3′, 4′ and 6′ varieties, strung only with lights:

For interior use, they can be placed on the floor, or on a low table or even opened halfway and hung on the wall. We used ours on our dining room table and plan to do our Christmas tablescape with the tree right in the center. You can also use the trees as a “half-tree” wall decoration! Open your Crab Pot Christmas Tree half way, and hang on the wall.

As you can see below, Crap Pot Christmas Trees take just minutes to set up and easily fold for storage.

MADE IN THE USA

This is something that makes me especially proud to own a Crab Pot Christmas Tree. All trees are made in the USA and actually pretty close to me. They were created by Harvey and Sons in Davis, North Carolina. They are now manufactured and distributed by Fisherman Creations, Inc., which operates just a few miles down the road in Smyrna, NC.

The only problem that I can see with a Crab Pot Christmas Tree is that one is just not enough. I really want a couple of large ones for our yard now. So do my kids. In fact, they have asked me every single day if I have ordered them yet. I am thinking of getting the 6 foot or the 8 foot tree for our yard.
