Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie Recipe

Premier Protein has been a staple in my home for the past several years. As I started on a weight loss journey, I recognized that I needed additional sources of protein. I began to research sources of protein including those with chocolate or peanut butter and then I began to try various types of protein. We hope that you love this Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie Recipe.

The key for me finding the right protein was to find something in chocolate that I could enjoy drinking. I didn’t want anything fruity or tasteless (still tastes like something) and I needed a higher protein count because I had a goal each day of 100 grams of protein. I could only reach that goal by supplementing my food intake each daily with some protein. Luckily I stumbled upon Premier Protein at my local Target. One drink and I was hooked on that delicious chocolate flavor.

Once I stopped dieting, I continued to work out a lot and was still in need of a lot of protein. On most days I have one drink but there were days where I would work out extra hard and drink two protein shakes. They are a great supplement and the perfect drink to keep me on track towards reaching my fitness goals. My entire family loves them just as much as I do.

  27. I got hit with life changing health issues last year. Permanent stuff, I’m still learning to adapt to all of the changes. But one thing I’m totally learning to do is make smoothies! I’ll add this to my list!

I have to eat extra protein, because my body doesn’t hold onto it very well, so I need extra, but I also have to be careful to not have too much meat as protein – especially red meat. I’m learning that shakes and smoothies with added protein powders and drinks are going to be super helpful. Especially when I have nausea issues, and don’t want to eat, at least I can chug down a healthy drink!

Plus, the kiddos love them too. Lots of fruits, veggies, protein, dairy – all types of good stuff can be quickly mixed up in the morning. I’m adding this to my list!

  28. YUM! You had me at chocolate and protein. I am always looking for ways to add protein to my diet, since I eat like a small child. I have found most protein drinks to be bitter and terrible. This smoothie sounds heavenly and I can’t wait to try it!
