She is four now. But everyone still calls her baby.
She has been through so much. So so much.
In her eyes, she is a big girl. In her eyes, there is nothing that she can't do.
I will probably always call her baby. I just cannot help it. I still picture her hooked up to all of those wires. With the stitches in her chest.
All she wanted today was a ladybug cake. With a puppet.

Oh my goodness, that cake is adorable! I’d never be able to do something like that. My oldest daughter is 20 this year and I still call her Baby more than her real name. It’s her nickname, she’s NEVER asked me not to call her that. I’m so thankful.
