As a busy mother of three children, I am almost always on the go. I tend to travel a lot for business but not so much for vacation these days. I really enjoy taking vacations and I love taking them with my family. However we don't have that many days each year where the kids are out of school and my husband & I have any off time.
We plan a few getaways each year and we have figured out as a family that 5-day trips are really optimal for our family. We get to see everything that we want to see and we get home before we really get homesick or miss our dogs too much.
