The Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5196 16 inch laptop from Staples is outfitted with an AMD Dual-Core E-1200 1.4 GHz 1MB processor, as well as 4GB of DDR3 memory which is expandable to 16GB. It comes with a 500 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, and comes with Windows 8 as an operating system. The laptop itself has a 15.6 inch diagonal widescreen display, which comes at 1366 x 768 native resolution. It also comes with an AMD Radeon HD 7310 graphics card.The laptop comes with 3 USB 2.0 slots and a one year warranty. That is exactly what kept happening with my old laptop. I seem to burn through a laptop every 2 years or so.
We actually had a Toshiba for our first laptop and it lasted quite awhile. When it was time to get another one we went with HP this time around. I would definitely get another Toshiba in the future though. I’m sure my oldest daughter will need one of her own sooner than later.

It is a great laptop for word processing. My son uses it for school.
We use Excede satellite internet with this laptop, it takes about 30minutes to setup, and works well. Just point south with a clear view of the sky and you are set! It’s great to have if you are RV’ing and are in the middle of nowhere as it’s a great distraction. The laptop itself is pretty fast for it’s price as well considering we usually purchase Asus computers.
