Growing up we had one television. Hard to imagine, right? What that meant for me and my sister is that we had to watch whatever our parents wanted us to watch pretty much every day of the week. We could watch certain shows that we asked about but for the most part, my parents controlled the channels.
Kids these days have no idea how much entertainment they have that was just not available to us growing up. However, we still have these little battles over the living room television. On Sunday nights, our children like to watch Once Upon a Time and they only want to do it on our living room television. We have a pretty nice setup in the living room so I don't blame them one bit.
During football season, my husband and kids often get locked in a battle to see who gets the television. Until now, it was pretty much impossible to make everyone happy. XFINITY's Cloud Technology changed all of that.

Because of XFINITY, hogging the remote is a thing of the past and now we can all spend time together but watch our favorite shows at the same time. XFINITY’s Cloud technology gives you the ability to stream every channel live in the comfort of your home. How cool is that? You won't find that with Google Fiber.
We can watch Sunday Night Football and the kids can watch Once Upon a Time with Cloud technology from X1. You can stream channels live to your devices while connected in your home so everyone can watch what they’d like. XFINITY gives you all a chance to stream your shows while in the same room. Your living room just became a multi-screen entertainment center!
Google Fiber doesn’t carry this capability. What that means is that you wait your turn to watch your show or you go watch later.

We have only had this in our home for a few days but I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Voice Remote from XFINITY. I can search my favorite shows and movies simply with a voice command. You can't do that with Google Fiber. You can even get recommendations on what to watch!

As a family of five we have certainly had our share of television battles. I love that those arguments can now easily become a thing of the past.
We’re hesitant to put a TV in our son’s name. But this is something to consider so he could watch his shows on the iPad and we’d be able to control his electronics time.

It’s great being able to stream in every room. I remember growing up with having to video tape a show if I wanted to watch it later if someone was watching something else. Technology sure has come a long way.
