Osmo Genius Kit Award-Winning Hands-On Game System at Best Buy

We are a family who loves technology. I mean we really love it. My son trolls Kickstarter and Indiegogo for startups on various. In fact, his current obsession is the Maguss: The Mobile Multiplayer Spell Casting Game which I have to admit looks pretty cool! He and his 12 year old sister both want to use their money to back the campaign.

My youngest is enjoying the Osmo Genius Kit that we received as part of our partnership with Best Buy. Wait until you see how cool the Osmo really is and just how entertaining it can be for your child. We hope that you enjoy our Osmo Genius Kit Award-Winning Hands-On Game System at Best Buy video below! This toy is just one of many available at Best Buy that truly encompass STEM learning with entertainment.

STEM at Best Buy

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and STEM products encourage kids to develop core skills in these areas. Best Buy carries products from basic learning games to advanced toys designed to stimulate a child's mind in the STEM areas, helping to develop logic and problem solving skills. I was thrilled to try out a few of the STEM products and to see if my kid likes them.

Osmo Genius Kit

The Osmo Genius Kit is an award-winning hands-on game system that fosters creativity & problem solving skills. Five (5) downloadable apps are included with four (4) more available (see below): Words, Tangram, Newton and Masterpiece and Numbers. Your child can engage their imagination and enjoy interactive play. This is the kind of experience that I want for my children because it encourages  social interaction and higher level of creative thinking.

The Osmo Gaming system is for the Apple iPad and features a reflector with a base to aid in learning turning your iPad into an educational tablet. With easy setup and a universal design, the Osmo gaming system can be set up in just minutes.

Osmo Genius Kit Included Apps

Words: Guess and spell the on-screen image. Team up or compete in-person with friends or family to see who will get their letter in first! Download free content like trivia, geography or upload your own like family names. The possibilities are endless!

Tangram: Arrange wooden puzzle pieces to match on-screen shapes. Animals, objects, humans and more. Play with a friend or challenge yourself to increasingly more difficult levels as your handiwork lights up with each victory.

Newton: Works with any object or drawing — Mom’s keys, hand-drawn basket, even toys you already own. Simply place the object/drawing in front of the screen and manipulate it to guide the falling balls into the target zones.

Masterpiece: Unleash your inner artist! Pick an image from the camera, web or curated gallery and Masterpiece will transform it into easy-to-follow lines, helping you create beautiful drawings.

Numbers: Add, count and multiply the tiles to match the numbers on the bubbles. Popping enough bubbles will free the fish and unleash a storm of lightning and thunder! Big or small, even or odd, will you become the Numbers Master?

Osmo Gaming System Additional Apps

Coding Jam: Who doesn’t love music? It’s fun. Arrange coding blocks into patterns and sequences to create music, and the volume of fun gets turned up a notch.

Coding Awbie: Uses hands-on physical blocks to control Awbie, a playful character who loves delicious strawberries. Each block is a coding command that directs Awbie on a wondrous tree-shaking, strawberry-munching adventure.

Pizza Co: Make pizza… grow your profit! Quickly cook pizza & calculate change using topping & money tiles. Invest profits to upgrade your shop or open new locations as you bake your way to becoming “the big cheese”!

Monster: Bring your drawings to life! Each item you draw for Mo will be magically pulled into his world. Together create animated activities to share with family and friends.
