Celebrating Little Victories with a DIY End of School Party

There is just something so exciting about the end of the school year. Everything is wrapping up. There are tons of parties and events. There is just a general feeling in the air that summer is beginning and it's time to let loose. This year we went all out with a fun little mini tea party although I would like to note that since we are Southerners, we like our tea iced and sweet which explains why there are no teacups. We made our favorite mini foods and of course, Edwards Pies were the star of the show. Want to know why we love and always choose EDWARDS desserts

We tried the new EDWARDS® Signatures Chocolate Whipped Cheesecake and the EDWARDS® Signatures Berry Whipped Cheesecake. The absolutely delicious chocolate cheesecake has both whipped layers of chocolate cheesecake and regular cheesecake on top of a decadent cookie crumb crust that is freshly baked with sweet chocolate chunks. The amazing berry whipped cheesecake features ribbons of raspberry and blackberry swirl on top that same decadent freshly-baked cookie crumb crust.

What I especially love about Edwards is that even though they are frozen, you can indulge in a slice right now from your freezer. Cut the pie with a warm, wet knife and then let your slice thaw for about 45-60 minutes in the refrigerator. If you are like me and can't wait, eat it frozen. My kids and I love to eat it this way.

You can also thaw the entire pie to serve later by taking it out of the carton (keep that plastic dome on) and then let it thaw for 2-2.5 hours in your refrigerator. You can leave in there for up to 3 days.

The steps to create our simple end of school party were easy and not at all time consuming. We buy little foods because they are easy to snack on and it makes our party feel more like a tea party. My kids and I love little sandwiches, etc so it makes it so much more fun because it looks like an actual tea party.

The main point of our celebration is to enforce that events like the end of school, getting a good grade on a test, a girls night in, a last minute birthday surprise and so much are worth celebrating. There is nothing like a little pie to make everything better. My family loves pie that much.

Not only is Edwards our favorite go-to dessert pretty much anytime we plan an event, they are also always available at my favorite grocery stores. This makes it much easier for Edward's to be the star of all our entertainment occasions. Simply remember the next time that you head to the grocery store looking for a dessert…This Calls For Edwards!
