I am from Maine. The town of Freeport is a stunning view and experience. You have everything from LL Beans to the Moxie store! Us yankees love Moxie. It’s a soda pop that compares to no other.I can remember my grandma drinking it when she had an upset stomach, she always said it helped her feel better-?-
If you visit Maine, check out BarHarbor. It is absolutely gorgeous.I would make plans for around Jul-Aug.This is tourist season and everyone bans together to make the season a success. You can go out on the ferry, fish, view the beautiful architecture of old buildings that are well maintained. There is so much to do.Also visit the small town of Cherryfield. It is the blueberry capital of the world. The population is minimal(800-1000) and its very “rustic” but the ppl are very warm and inviting. You find a lot of Native Americans there also.
You can tour the blueberry plant or if you are there during BB season. You can tour the miles of blueberry fields and perhaps try raking a few.Ppl come in from all over the US just to rake blueberries. My Mom and Dad have lived there since the early 70s.
You can Google the cities and get some views of photos and information about different places to visit there.
I now reside in NC.I love it here and that welcoming southern hospitality,it just don’t get any better than that!!
      Happy Holidays~

We used to go to Maine every Fall just to see the changing leaves. We live in Florida and don’t get much season change here so we love going some place where everything is changing.

Have to check out Freeport and the Hilton.

Thank you for the wonderful recommendations and beautiful photos. I’m going to check some of these out! The Maine Blueberry vodka sounds wonderful 😉

Besides the beautiful, changing trees and the hotel, the vodka was one of my favorite things. Although I am annoyed that I cannot find the vodka anywhere near my house.
