Create Your Own Perfect Sandwich at McDonald’s

McDonalds Create Your Taste6

This post was created in partnership with McDonald's. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recently my husband and I had a lunch date. We went to McDonald's to try their fun new ordering system which lets you “Create Your Taste.” Participating McDonald's around the country have installed these cool, new machines that let you order your food exactly how you want it. Check it out:

We were very excited to try the juicy Sirloin Third Pound Burgers and put our favorite toppings on them. From the moment we walked into the location, we were greeted by server who asked if she could help us:

Rhonda was so personable and friendly. She explained the system and then asked us if we wanted to try it out. Ordering took just a few minutes while my husband and I each took our turns ordering our lunch. Our server Rhonda assisted us when needed and gave us a pager to take to our table once we paid. She told us that they would be bringing our food out in 8-10 minutes. She also gave us our drink glasses to get our beverages. We never had to go to the counter for anything.

In about 8 minutes, these delicious burgers arrived:

The server delivered our food and asked if we needed anything else. We both asked for ketchup which she had with her.

The third pound sirloin burger was so delicious that my husband (the chef) said that he would most definitely come back to order it again. The meat was cooked perfectly and the burgers looked amazing. My burger was juicy and had every topping that I wanted on it. I loved it.

We also liked the metal containers that they put the fries in. This felt much more like a cafe experience. Servers walked by several times and refilled our drinks as needed. They also took our garbage away when we were finished.

We would definitely return to McDonald's to create our own burgers. This was a fun experience and I have a feeling that my kids would be very excited to try this out!

McDonalds are really working hard to make their food healthier and more appetizing aren’t they? I don’t think we have the GoCreate option in the Irish restaurants yet.
