Country Crock How to Host a Holiday Cookie Exchange

This post is sponsored by Country Crock.

This year marks the 10th year that I have participated in some sort of cookie exchange. This year I participated in the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap and it was fun. I sent out a dozen cookies to three different people and I was sent three dozen cookies as well. My entire family loved trying new cookies. We are always up for cookies.

To host a cookie exchange or a cookie swap, the idea is pretty simple or at least it was for me last year. Let me tell you what I did. I invited five friends over and everyone had to bring 5 1/2 dozen cookies plus five recipe cards with their cookie recipe printed on it. Each dozen was to be packaged on its own and the half dozen was put out on a platter as they arrived.

Serious cookie aficionados have these tools because they make cookie making so much fun:

Best Cookie Sheet Tray pan  |  Cookie Tray Liner  |  Cookie Spatula  |  Stainless Steel Cooling Racks

Glass Display Case – Cake Plate with Dome  |   Cake/Cookie Decorating Kit   |  Medium Size Cookie Scoop

Cookie Jar with Airtight Lid  |  Cookie Press  |  Round Cookie Cutter/Fondant Cake Cutter/Biscuit Cutters Kit

They arrived for a fun night of cocktails, cookies and chatting. And everyone left with 5 dozen cookies plus a recipe card in case they wanted to make the cookies themselves at a later time plus we each got to taste the cookies as well. We had a fabulous evening.

This is fun idea because you end up with cookies that you might not have otherwise tried plus we got to send some in with our children to share with their teachers. Any chance to hang out with some girlfriends is always a good idea as well.
